This card will be entered into the Challenges at Cheery Lynn, Add A Flourish, Simon Says Monday, Inspired By A Song, and Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes!
I used the Flourishes stamp set, Think Pink, although this is anything but pink. One of my best gal pal's younger sister has been diagnosed with Melanoma and has started treatment. Melanoma's cancer awareness color is black, so I decided to make a black and white card and send it off to her. Several die cuts used, Cheery Lynn; Fanciful Flourish, Paper Smooches; Foliage 1, MFT; Cross Stitched Rectangles and Spellbinder's Classic Ovals. A little Martha Stewart Black Glitter on the Awareness Ribbon, Sequins and Gingham Ribbon for accents.
The song that inspired this card is by Pink, So What.....you know that catchy little tune where Pink wants to start a fight......I pray that MaryAnn will fight this with all of her might. If you're inclined to do so, please say a prayer. Thank You!
Be Well!
Enjoy~~
First of all, prayers for you friend's sister. I hope all goes well for her. This is a great card and I'm sure will pick up her spirits. How thoughtful you are!
ReplyDeleteBlack & White is always so stunning Donna! Im sure your friends sister will love it. Lots of prayers going her way.
ReplyDeleteI love this card and the idea that you could make one to send it MaryAnn to encourage her to fight. You captured the toughness and still made it look feminine. I will certainly add her to my prayer list. Unfortunately, it is getting longer.
ReplyDeleteBlack and white are always a winner in my book. Very stunning and classy. I love how you have used the patterned paper and the flourishes. Good thoughts going out to MaryAnn! It's never easy, and it's very scary to have to go through this, I'm sure she will appreciate your card. Prayers sent up for sure!!!

ReplyDeleteI am sure that your sister's friend will treasure your thoughtfulness as we all do. So glad you made a card with a flourish for the Cheery Lynn challenge. Good luck. As usual your mix of papers and layering is fabulous. I am back in the challenge mod and I am going to make one for the Die Namites challenge. They need nine entries in order to give away the 25 dollar gift certificate. Only five now so if you have any of their dies you can check out the challenge here. http://www.die-namitesblog.com/2016/02/february-inspiration-challenge.html.
