Doodling

Hello Again!

My card for today will be entered into the Challenge at PTI, Doodling With Stamps.  If there's one thing I have learned from this Challenge, it's.....I can not doodle.  Who knew it would be so difficult?  Ashley made it look so easy on her VIDEO.

As I felt my doodling was not up to par, I left it in the background of my card.  I think I should have used water colors, they look so much more artsy!  The stamp set is, Pretty Petals.  I used inks in, Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo, Wild Wasabi and the sentiment was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black.  The card stock is Turquoise Sea.   I just randomly stamped the flower images and added small and large leaves.  I love these images, they're HAPPY!  Rounded the card corners and the white layer has been popped up using 3D dots.  This card is all about the stamped images, no accents added.  I'll have to stick this in my Mom's card box as it shouldn't use any extra postage.

Thanks for bopping by!

Enjoy~~

  1. I think your doodling looks great! I have to agree, though, it is harder than it looks. Who knew? It seems like such an easy thing when you think about it. I love that pretty little stamp set and your colors are lovely!

  2. OK, I will admit that I did more doodling than you did, but this is still great. I just got carried away. Tried to fill in every space. Lol
You just had a non-doodling day. I think it was a great idea to doodle in the background. Remember those folder covers in junior high. Full of doodles from boredom.

  7. Super sweet, love your colors and that stamp set. I think you did the technique perfectly - who says you need to do it in the focal. And yeah, it's always a plus when there is no extra postage. I try to be mindful of that whenever I make a box of cards for a donation. Have to make sure the weight is right as well. Love my food scale for that.

  8. Love your coordinating background! I haven't inked this stamp set up, yet... Hey, check out Kara's card, #56, for a sample of doodling with your new set, Daydreamers. I may copy...er, I mean Case her!
