Floral And Sunshine

One more quick little post.

This first card will be entered into the Challenges at Simon Says Monday, Flower Power and Altenew.

I guess I have been in a water coloring mood.  This card uses the Altenew stamp sets, Painted Poppy and Beautiful Day.  Black Embossing Powder.

I also used strips of corresponding card stock to bring out the colors of the Inspiration Photo.
Ink Splatters.

I have made so many flat cards.....who knew?!?!

This next card will be entered into the Challenges at; Simon Says Wednesday,
Sparkle And SHINE (get it?) and
Penny Black, Black And White Plus One.

My shine is my sentiment and all of that warm happy sunshine!  I used the Gina K Designs stamp sets; All About You and Happy Spring.  Created my background panel by stamping in Raven Black ink and coloring images with Copic Markers.  Layered on to Black and Yellow card stock and then to my Black card base.

My sentiment was heat embossed onto a strip of Vellum using Black Embossing Powder.

Inside I stamped my sweet little birdie.

Thanks for hopping by!

I used 2 stamp sets from Altenew, Beautiful Day and Painted Poppy.  I stamped the flowers in Versa Mark ink and then heat embossed with White Powder.  I water colored the images using my regular Stampin' Up! inks.

Stamped my sentiment and proceeded to spritz Heidi Swapp's Color Shine in Blush and Butter all over.  These add a pretty little sparkle and shine and a touch of color.  Iridescent Sequins for accents.

DONNA'S PROJECT

I used the beautiful Painted Poppy stamp and die set from AlteNew.  One of my most favorites!  I die cut the poppy out of a layer of rustic white card stock.  I then stamped the image on another piece which I layered below the die cut panel, this is a 3 step stamp.  Adhering Fun Foam to the die cut panel I then glued it down, lining the cut up with my colored image.  This adds quite a bit of dimension and gives the card a nice solid feel for mailing.

Splattered craft paints in 2 shades of pink all over the front panel using my handy dandy toothbrush.  I love this look, it is easy and quite fun to do!  Sentiment stamped in Black Licorice ink.  A Black and White Gingham Ribbon Tab to add some interest.  Crystal Drops in Ebony and 'randomly' (wink, wink) placed Iridescent Sequins.

Pretty Yellow Poppies

Good afternoon.....still having some Internet issues....grrrr....

Spent about 4.5 hours out in the gardens today, YAY!  I even started some seeds and Poppies were among them!  Fingers crossed!

Today's card will be entered into the Challenges at Altenew, Australia, Photo Inspiration, Simon Says Monday, Emboss It, Simon Says Wednesday, Flowers and WOW! Embossing Powder.

I used the stamp and die sets from Altenew, Painted Poppy....I can't get enough of these sets!  Images water colored with Stampin' Up! inks.  I also added a bit of Yellow Stickles to the flowers and a bit of Sakura Glaze Pen to the centers.

I backed one poppy, the top one, with Fun Foam to add dimension.  I tied the Jute Twine around all 3 stems.  The tag was made by using a Spellbinders Tags And Labels die.  The sentiment is by Simon Says, Summer Garden and is heat embossed in black

I adore these flowers!  Whether in the gardens or in the craft room I always have dirt or ink under my fingernails.....it is a glamorous life I live!  :)

Thanks for poppy-ing in!

Enjoy~~

You Make Me Happy!

Good Morning!

Today's card will be entered into the Challenges at Altenew, Thailand--Photo Inspiration     and Simon Says Monday, April Showers Bring May Flowers.

I used the Painted Poppy stamp and die set from Altenew.  I was drawn to the colors in the inspirational photo the gold and blues and yellow.  I took a Fabulous Frame die from PTI and die cut it from Toner Paper, added texture with a Diamond Embossing Folder.....then I added Gold Foil using my Mini Minc Machine.  By adding the texture it cracked and distressed a bit of the Toner Paper, and after covering it in the Gold Foil it has that worn distressed aged look--LOVE it!

Stamped my sentiment in Tempting Turquoise ink and added a few random sequins.  Tied it all together using a Sheer Yellow Ribbon.

Thanks so much for traveling through Thailand....no passport (or shots) required!

Enjoy~~

Pink Painted Poppies

Good Morning!

This card will be entered into the Challenge at Altenew, From Places Abroad--France, Stamping Sensations, Flower Power, and Simon Says Monday, Make Your Own Background.

I decided to try my hand at water coloring again, but this time I do believe I love the outcome, phew!  I made some water colored paper in several light shades of green and a spot of light pink, then using PTI's Chevron Vertical Cover Plate die I created my background.   I softened that look by covering it all in a sheet of Vellum.  I then created some water color paper in different shades of pink and cut out my Poppies using the Painted Poppy sets from Altenew, then I stamped the flowers in Tuxedo Black ink.  These were placed on a plain panel of water color paper....which looked blah, so I made 3 flower masks and spritzed some green ink all over it....much better!

Then I began to have even more FUN!  I cut out 3 of the budding poppies and began painting them with inks and water....these are what I absolutely ADORE!  Love the colors and the way they blended one into another.  Added some Corner Punches and some fabulous pink Sheer Ribbon that came off of my Valentine Chocolates--c'mon you all do that too, right???

My absolute favorite part of this entire creation!  YUM!

Thanks for Poppy-ing by.....yeah that never gets old lol

Enjoy~~

Happy Poppies

Hello!

This card will be entered into the Challenge at Altenew

I saw this technique from Jen McGuire, Distress Ink Lifting, and thought I would give it a try.  OMG....LOVE it!!!  Do yourself a favor and at least watch her video!

I used Altenew's Painted Poppy stamp and die sets.  Not too crazy abut that popped up leaf, so I will probably remove it.  Using Versa Mark ink and White Embossing Powder I stamped the poppies and heated them.  Then taking Distress ink in Broken China I covered the entire panel, smooshing ink into every white part of the card stock.  Then with a water brush I just began 'painting' the water onto the flowers, what an amazing look!  I also used Distress ink in Peeled Paint for the stems and leaves.

This panel was then placed on a piece of Black card stock and then a piece of Gold card stock.  I made the Gold panel by running some toner paper through my Mini Minc.  I then actually cut out a window within the rectangle leaving just a border of Gold, this way I have a nice piece of Gold Foiled card stock to make chip board accents out of using dies and punches.  Wicked Smahhht!  Sentiment is stamped in Tuxedo Black ink.  Large Gold Sequins for accents.

I can't wait to try this technique again, I bet every time, you achieve a whole different look!

Thanks for poppy-ing by!

Enjoy~~

Painted Poppy

Good afternoon!

This card was made for the Challenge at Altenew, Places Abroad; Cypress (photo inspiration).

I used the stamp and die sets from Altenew, Painted Poppy.  Images colored with Copic Markers.  Grabbed my Minc Foiling Machine and added some pretty Gold Foil to the Spellbinders Fanciful Lattice die.  Sizzix Embossing Folder for some added texture.  MFT Traditional Stitched Tag for stamped sentiment in Tempting Turquoise ink.  Ribbon, Jute Twine and Button for accents.

I just left the sentiment as HAPPY.....may make this into an Easter card and stamp something inside.  Remember Easter is super early this year, March 27th.....plan accordingly!

Thanks for pop pop poppy-ing in.

Enjoy~~

You Make Me Happy!

Hello!

I made this card for the Challenge at Double D, Pretty Pink Hearts.

I started with a product I found at Michael's their Recollections Brand, a 5 x 7 inch paper pack  of beautiful die cut sheets in pretty shades of pinks and greens.  Think 'cover plate' dies.  The work is all done for you.  I can not find them online to show you what they are, but they are beautiful.  Cheery Lynn dies; Butterfly 6 and Fanciful Flourish.  Penny Black, Heart Strings die and Spellbinders Captivating Squares.  Made a card stock frame and added some texture using a Chevron Embossing Folder.

Sentiment is from the Painted Poppy stamp set by Altenew.  Vellum and Adhesive Rhinestones for accents.  Just a fun frilly card to create, especially after that bland fishy birthday one. lol

Thanks for hopping on by.

Enjoy~~

Happy Anniversary Poppy

Hello!

I made this card yesterday, not sure if it's Artsy or just rhymes with Artsy.....  ;)

I will enter it into the Challenge at Simon Says Monday, A Ray Of Sunshine.  It is bright AND sunny!

I used my new stamp and die set from Altenew, Painted Poppy.  I LOVE this set and am experimenting with it.  I stamped the Poppy in Dove Grey and Tuxedo Black inks on to water color paper.  Sentiment stamped in Tuxedo Black ink.  Then using a water brush and some Daffodil Delight ink I colored the entire background.

Using the die I cut out the Poppy and one leaf.  Stamped images.  Adhered to the card base.  Yellow and white Gingham Ribbon for accent.  I find I love just tying the ribbons in a knot and not a bow, I can not remember the last time I made a bow.

Eh...It looked so much better in my head.

Thanks for stopping by, hope you're not all tied up in knots!

Enjoy~~
