Window Box 1

Good Afternoon!  Hope you all have some fun plans for your upcoming weekend! My daughter, soon to be son in law, and grand fur baby are coming down........wedding stuff!  YAY!

Today's card will be entered into the Challenge at Curtain Call, Bouquet.

I wanted to go BIGGER than a bouquet and made a whole window box!  I started by creating my wood grain background to mimic the house or shed you might find this window box hanging on. I used Distress Inks in, Antique Linen and Weathered Wood, and then some White ink as well.  I used an EK Success Border Punch to create the box portion, 2 rows of this particular punch.  The flowers are from PTI's Daydreamer set, and were stamped in Stampin' Up! inks in Elegant Eggplant, Wisteria Wonder, Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette and Garden Green (grass on the inside).   I stamped off on some of the flowers to create different shades.  All fussy cut out---but I just ordered the die set last night at 10 p.m. lol  Sizzix Branch With Leaves die.  Some of the flowers have been popped up on 3D dots to create dimension.
Sentiment from Gina K Designs, One In A Million stamp set.  Now if I could only get my window boxes to look like this!

If I am not playing in the dirt, I will be stamping an instant garden!

Enjoy~~

  9. Love the wood behind your lovely wall of flowers. I agree with Sharyn, it reminds me of the morning glories growing on the trellis on my front porch when I was a kid. Great card.
