Who's Hungry For Some Blog Candy?!?!

Good Evening!  As promised I have an announcement.....but first I would like to show you the card I made for the Flourishes #237 Challenge, Make A Good Impression, to use dry embossing somewhere on your project.  Easy Peasey!  :)

Found this great paper pack in my stash, Global Treks, by Deja Views.  I think it was marked down so cheap I bought 2.....just in case!  lol

I used the Cuttlebug Embossing Folders, Honey Comb, the large one and the smaller border one.  It's hard to see but that background DP is embossed too.  The stamp set is from Flourishes, Chrysanthemums, such a lovely set.  And you may recall that I had won the entire August Release, 3 beautiful sets, Chrysanthemums, Autumn Blessings, and Mountain View

Chrysanthemums

Autumn Blessings

Mountain View

Beautiful right?  Now how would you like to win one of these lovely stamp sets?

The shipping department over at Flourishes was so prompt in getting my winnings to me, they sent them twice.  I did contact Allison and after explaining the situation and wondering if she would want me to return the second set, she cheerfully said, pass them along to a crafty friend or have a Give-A-Way.  So now I am passing MY good fortune along to 3 of YOU!  Just leave me a comment telling me what you think about anything.....the Blog....the Stamp Sets....the way the humidity freaks your hair out.....Fall.....Christmas Shopping.....How weird your Husband is.......whatever!  I will let you comment all  weekend long.  Sometime on Monday I will have my daughter pick 3 winners!!

Easy Peasey, right?  Hope it was well worth the wait.

Until Monday!  :)

  2. WOW, Donna, gorgeous card! I love your cards, you know I do - all of them!!!

How generous are Flourishes? That's fabulous of them, really.

Rosy is so funny. Hot. What is that? It's freezing cold over here in Australia, and it's supposed to be SPRING!! Bring on some warm summer weather. Please.

Can you do that, Donna? Hope so!! (My toes are freezing, and I'm very sick of it. Truly.)

    1. One can always layer up clothing when it's cold, but you can only peel down to skin when it is melting + humid. (or lay naked in the ice cream aisle at the closest grocery store).

    2. Don't listen Cheryl. Rosy has a restraining order forbidding her to enter the grocers.

    3. OK Rosy and Nancy, you two definitely need a road show for your banter, you're sooo good you could most likely quit your day jobs! Cheryl I feel your pain, it's awful when the weather hasn't gotten the message that the season has changed. Rosy...stay out of the ice cream isle of the grocery store!

  6. Awesome card, Donna. Love the paper, too! Very rich looking. So about my toenail fungus- been reading that listerine soaks help.
So while I type, my tootsies are immersed in listerine. Smells nice, at least, although I don't see how this will help my breath.
    Awesome stamp sets, btw.

  7. Wow! How lucky are you? I love, love, love that gorgeous card. I bought the Chrysanthemums set because it is so beautiful! I have been complaining about the hot, humid weather for days now. Weather report for tomorrow morning is in the 40's. Sure is going to be cold sitting out at our grandsons' soccer games. Think I need my winter coat? lol

  8. Well, aren't you so lucky?!! Tell Lori to "Pick Me!" 'cause I don't have any flourishes stamps ;)
Your card is gorgeous!!! Love the fall colours! Beautiful stamp--my fav of the 3 you won.
It still feels like summer, here. It's perfect, actually --warm, but not too hot. It could stay like this for another 3 months with no complaint from me! (But it's supposed to colour over Sunday, unfortunately...) You have a good day!

    1. I love this stamp and your card, you never disappoint! Please don't include me in the drawing, as I have two of these stamps! Yes, I could not resist. Just wanted to add my two cents. Busy weekend here, grandsons are here to attends the golf tournament today in Chicago. They are so excited to see Tiger Woods play. I am going out to buy fresh bagels for breakfast, and later cook a nice fall dinner for when they come back. In the middle, I will be at my other grad kids soccer game. Have fun looking at all of the entries.

  11. Donna...Your so funny...you always bring a smile to my face! Flourishes is a great company with great customer service as you have noticed! What beautiful stamp sets you are giving away...so nice of you! Now...can I talk Humidity....I think in my neck of the woods the humidity is what keeps all of us standing up right! The air is so thick you don't have a chance in---- to fall over! Hubby is of golfing and as soon as I get off my behind..... off this computer.... I am going to clean my house in record time and go get my craft on! Thanks for being a great cyber friend!! Oh, last but not least....your card is the bomb and love that sentiment and your coloring! Take care!

  12. Oh, you never disappoint. And you KNOW how I feel about Honey Comb shapes. The colors and design on this card are fantastic.
So what do I want to tell you about whatever??? Well, my world is fantastic at the moment. The day is glorious with sunny skies and a nice calm wind. Plus it's gonna get up into the 60's. Couldn't be better.
I hate Christmas shopping, my hair gets flat when it's foggy out, my hubby is a unique person unto himself - what can I say about that - and I love fall colors, just not the snow that follows.
Always love your blogs!!!! They are interesting and creative, one of the better ones that I follow. And I'm NOT just saying that - IT'S TRUE!!!!!
    (((hugs!!)))

  14. Yes it was definitely worth the wait. I've just discovered Flourishes and have been "lurking" around their shop looking at stamps and amazingly you are giving away one that I had put in the cart of potential purchases. It was Autumn Blessings. You posted a card using that very one just a couple of days ago. Thank you Donna, my very talented sweet friend (that was the suck up portion of the statement) for the opportunity to win a set of those beautiful stamps. Continued happy card making.

  15. Well...thought I should say something really nice about your gorgeous Chrysanthemum card, so lets see...it's very pretty, you colored the chrysanthemum beautifully, your papers are dynamite, the sentiment is great, love the embossing and your ribbon is to die for. How was that? Now off for a 3.5 mile walk to the farmers market with the old coot I've been married to for 46 years. Have a lovely day Donna.

  19. Well...think I might have heard a rumor that something special was in the air on this site, and low and behold, it wasn't a rumor at all. I do believe that Donna, you generous girl, are giving away a few sets of Flourishes stamps. Wow...what girl could ever resist that, especially such beautiful stamps. AND especially when one doesn't own a single set. I hope you and Lori are resting up for the big day ahead! My best to you as usual. Barbara
