A Little Bit Of Vellum

Good Morning!  Here we are winding down 2013......I can not wait to 'turn the page' and welcome in 2014.  Don't get me wrong, 2013 was a wonderful year, I am just ready for a new start, a change in direction, clean the slate, a fresh start. 

But while there is still some time left in this year I entered another Challenge card at Flourishes #251 Vellum, to add a bit of vellum to your project.

This card was inspired by Pinterest.  What did we ever do before that site appeared?  lol

I used a little Vellum Envelope I had in my stash.  I think I originally bought them to send my garden seeds to people.  This particular one I added many stamped sentiments from various Flourishes stamp sets.  They include such sayings as; Happy, Thinking Of You, Shine, Happy Happy Joy Joy, With Thanks, etc. stamped in all different colors.  The designer papers are by My Mind's Eye; Stella & Rose, Mabel.

Flourishes stamp sets; Anemones, Autumn Blessings, Chrysanthemums, Dahlias, Mountain View.

Added some Baker's twine and some turquoise rhinestones to finish it off.

Okay now I need to go clean my house so I can get back in that craft room.

Chantilly Lace And A Pretty Face......

hahaha could not resist with the title, and you'll be singing THAT all day long......you're welcome!  :)

Today's card will be entered into the Flourishes #241, Pearls & Lace and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, to use a Rubber Stamp, no digis.



The stamp is Chrysanthemums, from Flourishes.   My local craft store (well if you call having to drive 1/2 an hour local) is marking down lots of paper packs.  This happens to be designer paper from My Mind's Eye, Stella Rose.......a 6x6 pack for only 2 dollars.  Filled with beautiful papers with oranges and blues.  The blue honeycomb background paper has a hue of orange running through it, and that is why I chose to stamp the image in Stazon, Pumpkin Ink.   It really brings the color right out.  The "wordy" paper is also part of this pack.   Added corner tabs, 3 paper flag tags, colored white adhesive pearls in orange and blue using Copic Markers.  A little bit of ivory lace and orange Baker's Twine and done!  I must say I really love these colors together......who knew?

Who's Hungry For Some Blog Candy?!?!

Good Evening!  As promised I have an announcement.....but first I would like to show you the card I made for the Flourishes #237 Challenge, Make A Good Impression, to use dry embossing somewhere on your project.  Easy Peasey!  :)

 

Found this great paper pack in my stash, Global Treks, by Deja Views.  I think it was marked down so cheap I bought 2.....just in case!  lol

 

I used the Cuttlebug Embossing Folders, Honey Comb, the large one and the smaller border one.  It's hard to see but that background DP is embossed too.  The stamp set is from Flourishes, Chrysanthemums, such a lovely set.  And you may recall that I had won the entire August Release, 3 beautiful sets, Chrysanthemums, Autumn Blessings, and Mountain View.

Happy Saturday

Good Morning!  And what a HAPPY Saturday it is.  My last working Saturday of the season, whahoo!  I have survived!

Today's card is for the Flourishes #235 Challenge, In Distress.....and for the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge, Anything Goes. 

I made a 'pocket' of sorts, by just pulling back a corner of designer paper which is adhered to my stamped image base.  So I guess I would call this card, a pocket full of posies.   The stamp is by Flourishes, Chrysanthemums, just a beautifully detailed stamp set.   The sentiment was cut out using Spellbinders, Fancy Ribbons die.  Edges of the DP and card stock have been distressed with ink, and I also roughed up the edges a bit with a file.  Brad and ribbon round out the card.

Autumn Blessings

My card today is for the Flourishes #234 Challenge, to use a Doily on your project.  But before I show you my card I would like to show you what I won from Flourishes last week.  I entered a card, as I always do, and lo and behold, to my happy surprise, my name was drawn.  (thank you Rosy for the head's up!)  I emailed Allison over at Flourishes telling her that I was so excited I didn't even KNOW what I had won.  She replied with, oh because it was our Release last week you won the complete set of new stamps......Holy Smokes!

And now here is my card for the current challenge:

 

 This gorgeous image is from Autumn Blessings.  So easy and fun to color up.  I cut a doily in half and sponged on Antique Linen and Wild Honey, Distress Inks.  The focal image was cut out using the Spellbinders label 7 die and then mounted on a rectangle of Wine With Everything card stock, by Gina K Designs.

 

Other supplies;  Copic markers, Adhesive Rhinestones, Ribbon, Button, Twine, 3D Adhesive Squares.
