Just A Note

Good Morning!

Today's card will be entered into a few Challenges hosted by Simon Says Stamp:

Simon Says Monday, Stitch It.
Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes.

I made my own stamps ala Jen McGuire,
using these dies from Paper Smooches, Foliage 1 and Fun Foam.
Of course, I had to be a bit different and reverse the image ;)

Stamped many leaves in a collage style in Distress Oxide inks in;
Fossilized Amber, Peeled Paint and Spiced Marmalade.
I then cut many pieces in yellow, green and orange card stock
and laid them over the stamped images.
It looks like a hot mess from here,
but in real life it looks pretty cool and has a depth to it.

Covered with a sheet of Vellum to soften the look,  which I added the Paper Smooches Stitched die to along each side.
Sentiment is from their Sentiment Sampler set, stamped with Amalgam Black ink and then heat embossed with Clear Embossing Powder.
Thin Natural Twine.
Adhesive Rhinestones.

Thanks for popping by!

Enjoy~~

Big Hugs

Good Afternoon!

I have a card to share with you that will be entered into the Challenge at Cheery Lynn, Doilies.

I saw This Card on Pinterest and I was inspired......I may have to rename this, Everything But The Kitchen Sink.....there is A LOT going on here!  lol

I started stamping the leaves from a Stipple Nature set by Gina K Designs and then added a few random dots from her Pretty Patterns 2 set.  Inks in Always Artichoke, Not Quite Navy and Soft Sky.  I also added some sponging to the focal panel, die cut leaves and cropped flowers in Antique Linen and Wild Honey.

Paper Smooches Foliage 1 dies in chipboard and card stock.  Cherry Lynn Wheat Heads, Poppy Stamps Dogwood Corner Blossom, Simon Says Scripty Big Hugs, and Dies R Us Butterfly Set # 2.   Half a doily sponged with Antique Linen.  Ribbon fiber, Jute Twine and Adhesive Rhinestones.  Swiss Dots Embossing Folder.  I was going to add even more rhinestones to the layered flowers in the bottom right hand corner, but that just seemed to be too much to me hahaha.

Fun card to make....hope it is equally fun to receive!

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Enjoy~~

Hydrangea Keepsake Box

Good Sunday Morning!

Back on the Dies R Us Blog with another little project I would like to share with you.

I found this sweet little paper box at my local craft store for a $1.  Nice!!!

And now time for the transformation!

I first painted the box in lavender craft paint, then covered the bottom portion with some Designer Paper.  Cutting the Hydrangea set from Impression Obsession out of water color paper, I water colored the pretty little petals, stem and leaves.  Gluing my stem and leaves first, then the larger petals, topping with the smaller ones, filling in any gaps as I went.  I also added a bit of Wink Of Stella Clear Pen for sparkle.

Die cutting the Picket Fence by Amy Design several times I was able to line it up perfectly around the box using the posts as guides.  Adding leaves from  Foliage 1 by Paper Smooches I created my green vines.  Of course I had to add some beautiful butterflies, what garden isn't complete without them?  Butterfly Set #2  from our very own product line Dies R Us were the perfect topping!  I cut one shape from purple card stock and another shape from Vellum, layering the two.

I topped my Hydrangea Petals with Liquid Pearls in Buttercup Yellow.  My Butterflies are topped in Crystal Drops in Wisteria.  Iridescent Sequins 'randomly' placed on top and sides of decorated box.

White Picket Fence, Hydrangeas and pretty Butterflies......what more do you need for a Cape Cod Garden?

Here's what I used:

Hydrangea
Impression Obsession

Picket Fence
Amy Design

Foliage 1
Paper Smooches

Garden Zinnias

Good Monday Morning!

On the Dies R Us Blog today!

Today's creation uses many beautiful dies.  Check out the Dies R Us Store for all your die-crafting needs!

I saw this fantastic sentiment online, Little Darlings Friends Sentiments and knew I could use it with all of my lovely dies!  They fit together perfectly!  I started with my sloping grass hills, created with Die-Namics Snow Drifts.  Who says they are only for winter use?

Then came the forest backdrop.  The Birch Trio by Memory Box  topped with some beautiful leaves by Paper Smooches, Foliage 1.  I have only thought of bare Birch Trees, I think the bark is their beauty.  But, of course, they have leaves!

The Amy Design Picket Fence was just what I wanted to fence in my pretty little garden.  This particular die is no longer available in the Dies R Us Store, however there are many others available HERE!  Pretty dies come and go so quickly, when you see what you like, fill your cart!

Now for some creative FUN....the flowers!

I adore these beautiful blossoms AND they were just a lot of fun to make!

Garden Notes Zinnia by Elizabeth Craft Designs.  Their detail is amazing!  My Zinnias are not in bloom as yet, but I am hoping they look as pretty as these when they do flower!

When there is no sunshine and rain is falling at least I know I can always garden.....in paper.....isn't that the best?

I will be entering this into the Challenge at Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Enjoy~~

    Seed Packets

    Good Monday Morning!

Back on the Dies R Us Blog to share a little Spring time fun!

A little something about me, I love to craft AND I love to garden, so when the two can be combined it is pure JOY!  If I can't have ink under my fingernails, I don't mind a wee bit of dirt.

Today's project is making seed packets.  So FUN!

When using my Envelope Board Maker they become so easy to whip up.

I started with a 6 3/4 x 6 3/4 inch piece of Kraft card stock and using my Envelope Board I scored at the 3 inch mark, rounding the corners as I went.  Sealed with a bit of Scor Tape.
This made a  3  3/4 x  4  3/4 inch sized envelope, the perfect size for slipping in a Burpee Seed Packet.

I decided I wanted to make a string closure on the back.  Spellbinders Scallop Circle dies cut from thick chipboard and pink card stock.  Eyelets and Jute Twine.  I thought I would need 3 Dimensionals, but decided there was no need.

Using the Eyelets to add the Scallop Circles die, I ensured that they would stay put when opening and closing with the Jute Twine.  Very sturdy!

I stamped an old seed packet image from Stampin' Up and my sentiment from Spring Has Sprung, by Gina K Designs, on to the Kraft card stock in Black Licorice ink.

Adding just the right flower to decorate the packet was the hardest choice.  So many pretty flowers to chose from at the Dies R Us Store.  I finally decided upon these beautiful Garden Notes Zinnia from Elizabeth Craft Designs.  I cut them out of some pretty felt I found in my stash in orange and pink and layered them together.  The leaves are by Paper Smooches, Foliage 1 cut in the pretty green felt.  Both of these dies are amazing and cut through the felt like buttah....oops my Boston accent is showing.  They are crisp and clean, even in felt.

I also added a bit of the Crystal Drops for centers.  Tip:  Felt is porous and the Crystal Drops will not hold their shape.  However, I do like how they look.

If there's a happy gardener in your life these make sweet little gifts.  Precious Shower Favors, or added to Spring and Easter Baskets.

I really love the rustic simplicity of these seed packets, hope you do too!

I will be entering these into the Challenge at Simon Says Wednesday, Fun With Felt.

      Wooden Celebration Tote

      Good Monday Morning!

Back again, on the Dies R Us Blog!  This time I would like to share a little project with you.

I found this sweet little wooden tote at my local craft store for $1.  I knew with a little Designer Paper and some wonderful dies from the Dies R Us Store I could transform it into something fabulous.  I think I was right!

First I painted it all white and covered it in pretty pink and white Designer Paper, wrapped a pink pleated ribbon around the top and added white sparkling glitter to the handle......and then the FUN began.  I sorted out a bunch of dies I wanted to use and started cutting.

I started with this sweet little Picket Fence by Amy Design and moved right on to the Curly Words Celebrate by Die-Versions.  Let me just tell you how impressed I am with this wordy die.  It's fancy and delicate and perfect for....well for ANY celebration!  Here I layered a pink and white cut together so it would POP and add a bit of dimension.

Next came some beautiful flowers....now I know what you're thinking....aren't those Poinsettias???  Well yes, yes they are....BUT aren't they gorgeous???  This is the Small Poinsettia Set die from Impression Obsession.  I ADORE it and think it looks just lovely as 'an everyday flower'.  Plus this is for my 86 year old Mother......she'll love it.....wink, wink!  I die cut several out of a deep pink and light pink card stock and some beautiful Vellum.  Layered them together by size, not alternating from large to smallest.  Then I added some pearls for their centers.

Next up came some of my beautiful foliage.  In the 1st photo you will see the fantastic Ivy Corner Flourish by Cheery Lynn.  I also used the Foliage 1 die from Paper Smooches.

And for my final selection, I created a beautiful butterfly.  Butterfly #2 Set from our very own line Dies R Us Dies.  This set is awesome as it has five....that's FIVE different butterflies included.  I layered 3 different ones together in the deep pink and light pink card stock and topped with a Vellum one.  WOW!

A perfect little garden tote.  I'm not sure what I will put in it as yet, probably something chocolatey.

I will be entering this into the Challenge at Simon Says Wednesday, Flowers.

      Here's what I used:

      Amy Design Picket Fence
