Love From Massachusetts

Good Morning!

A couple of more cards to share with you today.

The 1st one will be entered at Simon Says Wednesday, Layer It Up!

Again, I used the Stately Flowers 12 stamp set from Gina K Designs.....swooooooon!

Gina K Designs, Stately Flowers 12....of course!
Here I used a piece of Acetate to create my card front.

I stamped my Mayflowers, colored them with Copic Markers and fussy cut them out.
I also cut out a 2nd stamped image, but just for the shape,
to back this colored one so it wouldn't look ugly when opening the card.
Added some pretty black and white Designer Paper, Lace, Adhesive Pearls and a thin Pink Ribbon.

Inside I stamped a few of the sentiments and fussy cut out 2 more of the Mayflowers.
Raven Black ink.
Sakura Glitter Pen.

This is what it looks like flat.

This card will be entered into the Challenges at: Scrapy Land, Anything Goes
and Stamp TV, MMC12018.

Using Spellbinders Standard and Scallop Circle dies I created my shaped card.
Gina K Designs, You Are stamp set.
You die from SOA, Beautiful World Kit.
Raven Black ink.
Copic Markers.

You has been layered 3 times.

Thanks for coming by.

  1. Just catching up on all your have been so busy!
Both lovely cards, gorgeous colours and I really love the acetate front and lace! xx

  2. The acetate card us just beautiful!! Thanks for reminding about using acetate. I love the wispy look if your wreath on the circle card.

  3. Such pretty cards! Love the circle Valentine and the fun acetate one as well. Funny....I made a card very similar to your first one today -- to be shared later next month as one of my design team projects! Great minds think alike! (smile)
BTW - we'd love for you to join us for the Anything Goes challenge over at The House That Stamps Built!

  4. A clever and unique way to show off that state flower set. The front is great with the lace and pears, but the inside is amazing as well. The round shape card is perfect with the hearts and ferns on the front. So fun to make a shape card.

  5. WOW! Both cards are beautiful and unique! LOVE that first one with the clear panel! I made one several years ago and so happy you've put this idea back in my mind ... will be a good design for my upcoming Spring show. Love the circle card too ... just lovely! Have a great day!

  6. Love both of these. Shaped cards are so fun and I don't think to make them. And of course using acetate is always stunning. I have never done that, and it's so fabulous!!! Your coloring is perfect, you are rockin' that stamp set. Beautiful cards!!!

  7. Gorgeous cards, Donna, and beautifully designed! What adhesive do you use to adhere the flowers to your acetate, please? Two unusual and lovely creations! If your cards are this pretty, what will your garden be like this year? hugs, de

    1. Scor Tape and then I back it with another fussy cut shape to cover it all. :)

  8. How stunning Donna! Love the acetate to show off all the lovliness on this card. The ribbon is such a sweet touch too. Great dimention on this beauty!!

  9. Oh my your acetate card is just gorgeous, love how you border it with the ruffle lace and pearl accents and the flowers are just colored beautifully! Sweet second card too, I was just saying on Darlene's post I don't know why I don't do more shaped cards :) Love that sentiment in the middle of the wreath!

  10. Wonderful cards. I love the gingham and lace and how your card folds. The bold sentiment is perfect for the inside of the wreath.

  11. Both your cards are so gorgeous. I saw them on FB first and was so inspired by them.

  12. Both cards are gorgeous, as usual. How beautiful the one turned out with the acetate. I haven't been brave enough to try that. Love the lace, the pearls and the gingham. Your shaped card is lovely too.

  13. Wow, Donna! These are fabulous! Acetate you brave woman lol! When I saw that stamp set come out, all I could do was think of you ♥ I love your design and to cover the back. Finally, Massachusetts! Enjoy every bit :*
