Fall Sympathy Card

Hello again....back with another Sympathy card to share with you!  I do find that there is a quiet beauty about making Sympathy cards.  I wish we didn't need them ever.....but.....

This will be entered in to the Challenges at; Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes, Stamping Sensations, Autumn Glory and Penny Black, Close To Nature.

I die cut a corner out of my card base using the Memory Box Distress Windham Collage die.  This die set is pretty cool and has 4 different styles of dies to choose from.  Once that was done I grabbed some Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Gold and spritzed it all over.  My sentiment is by Power Poppy, Soothing Sympathy and is stamped in Walnut Stain ink.

Using White card stock I began sponging on Oxide inks in; Fired Brick, Fossilized Amber and Spiced Marmalade.  Splattered with a bit of water and more of the Color Shine in Gold.  Once dried I die cut my leaves out using the Cheery Lynn Fall Leaves 8 set.  I love the array of shapes and all that texture.  This is a wonderful Fall time die set.  Then I just clustered a bunch of the leaves on my Ivory card panel and adhered to my Chocolate Brown base.  I also tucked one lone leaf on the inside, bottom left corner for accent.

Thanks so much for falling in.

Enjoy~~

  4. I fell in love with this one immediately. I think it is the die cut and the leaves and the colors and the splatters. That is pretty much everything.

  6. This is just beautiful, I love everything about it. The corner die cut is a perfect backdrop for the gorgeous leaves and greeting, as is the gold splatter. And I think dry embossing those leaves is just genius - I am pinning!
