Black Cat Slider

Good Morning!
Back again on the Tutti Designs Inspiration Blog.

Another spooky Halloween card to share with you today!

This was a very FUN card to create!

I die cut this Black Cat die from Black Glitter paper.  I added some very thin Scor Tape to the back of this die cut to make sure the intricate detailed pieces in the cat's body actually stayed put.  I like this look as it adds texture and interest.  Then I was at a loss.....what to do with him?

Oooh I know, make a slider card!  And that's what I did!

I watched a few You Tube Videos to make this, hand cutting the slider channel which is hidden.  I was quite pleased with how easy it actually was to create.  The Black Cat just goes creeping along searching for his next prey, not even paying attention to the ravens in the trees or the bats below.

Perhaps he is searching for YOU!  Eeeeeeeek!

On the inside I did want to show you how beautifully detailed this Black Cat really is.  Think about this, 2 looks for the price of one!  Pretty cool!

Eyelet and Ribbon for my pull tab and a Gina K Designs sentiment for the Wicked stamp set.

Spooky Good Fun!

  1. you are SO imaginative, Miss Donna! I love that the cat is a slider feature. Such a cute bat border, and the spooky forest behind your black kitty is the spookiest EVER! I can see why you had such fun making this card, and creating the story to go with it. My kitty does not have an attention span. She is distracted by everything! It's a great card, and I especially like how you managed to keep your hunting kitty solid on the front, and with the pretty scroll work on the inside! hugs, de

  2. You rock! This spooky cat with his arched back looks ready to prance on his prey. What ever that may be. Making him a slider card gives that movement that he needs to prance. What a neat design to add the bats and the ravens, everything that a spooky Halloween card should have. So glad that you showed the intricate design on the inside.

  4. This is absolutely fantastic!!! I love that cat die and you have used him perfectly, what a great idea to make him animated. Wonderful design with the spooky forest background and that trim along the bottom. How fun to find the greeting when you pull out the tab, and then using him all die cut out on the inside is just perfect. Really great texture too, well done!!!

  6. Well, aren't you clever. This is so fun and will be a hit with someone who receives it. I have never made a slider card. It seems there is so many things to learn and do in this hobby that it never gets old for me.

  8. I have never made a slider card and I even have the dies to make the channel. Of course you had the perfect papers for the card so that it creates a super cut scene. Love how you put him on the inside too.
