I don't know how I did it but I assembled these cards one afternoon with the help of Laurie's encouragement over at PTI. So a BIG thank you to her!
These will be entered into the Challenges at; Papertrey Ink, Assembly Line Card Making, Simon Says Monday, Shine Bright Like A Diamond, Stamping Sensations, Christmas Greetings, Penny Black, Anything Christmas and Scrapy Land, Anything Goes.
Using the Papertrey Ink die Polka Dot Parade #9 I cut out my trees. 3 in Pink, Green and White card stock. One of each was cut in Glitter paper. I was going to put 3 on a card but then I had the brilliant idea to make 9 cards.....in one afternoon! lol
I also found a very easy way to assemble the tree pieces like a puzzle. Cutting a piece of chipboard just smaller than the length of the tree, I added adhesive to it and then just started putting the pieces in place. Easy Peasy!
These are the cards with the glitter trees. All sentiments are from Power Poppy stamp sets, Glistening Paperwhites and Holly Golightly.
Green Embossing Powder. I also added a corner die cut using Elizabeth Craft Designs, Tags & More 1 - Lace, each in a glitter paper.
Silver Embossing Powder.
Pink Embossing Powder.
Joyous Greetings.
Tis The Season To Be Jolly.
Each card also has a thin strip of Ribbon and Sequins for accent. Designer Paper by Nicole, Winter Whimsy.
They really went together very quickly--who knew?
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Enjoy~~

ReplyDeleteYour Christmas Tree cards are darling, Donna! I love that sentiment, and most especially, that you have put it on the diagonal - a great design technique! Thanks for sharing how you quickly put everything together - still, those little sequins and holding the tiny tree pieces requires a little skill and dexterity on your part! ReplyDeleteYou have really made a great start on your Christmas cards by doing them in batches. This was a great challenge by PTI to inspire people to get started. I would have been there too, but I just finished making 40 cards that I will be taking to the Girl Scouts for a project. All they have to do is color and glue them. I hope they don't get the glue all over.
