Happy Birthday Window

Good Morning!  Happy Weekend!

Today's card will be entered into the Challenges at Stamp TV, Spring Fever and Simon Says Wednesday, Touchy Feely.

Using Spellbinders Classic Ovals I cut out my window section from my base card stock and my Designer Paper and Bordering layers.  Do it all at once and save yourself the hassle of having the window askew.  It will take a couple of passes through your die cutting machine (I used a Big Shot) but it is so worth the effort.  I also made a window frame by layering a Classic and Scallop Oval together, which I then ran through a Swiss Dots Embossing Folder to give it some texture.

The stamped image is from Dogwood And Butterfly and the sentiment is from Basket Additions 2, both by Gina K Designs.  Colored with Copic Markers.

This is a nice flat card but still holds some interest.  I am making a bunch of flat, easy to mail cards to send as a thank you to one of my dear Uncles in Arizona.  He is on my card making 'to do' list.  Valentines, Birthdays, Easter, Christmas, Thanksgiving, etc.  I send him and a favorite Auntie a bunch of cards throughout the year, and he keeps sending me crafting money lol  I tell him to STOP but so far he has not.  He appreciates the kindness.  He doesn't realize the JOY I get from making cards and then once mailed the JOY I feel when people say they got them, so it is truly pure selfishness on my part that keeps me making and mailing them.  So I will be making flat, no layers, cards, or at least trying to, you know the struggle is real in my house!  lol  And not only are they finished inside, which I have been doing forever now, I am also making him sweet little matching envelopes.  Yay me!

Thanks for popping in!  Hope you have an awesome weekend!

Enjoy~~
