For several weeks now I have been participating in the Challenges over at CASology, just hoping that I would be able to produce something that was Clean And Simple. Here is my card that I will be entering into to 2 Challenges; CASology #68, Black and for the Stamp TV, MIUM Challenge, CAS with a little accent.
The stamp set is, City of David, by Gina k Designs. I don't think I have ever made a black and white Christmas card before, especially one that was soooooo CAS. Kind of missing my layers, but I do like how this came out. I used a Sakura Clear Star pen to trace over the star burst and for each of the doors and windows on the city, to give the illusion of light. Rhinestone as the star's center and a strip of dotted DP, where I also traced the dots with the same Sakura pen, think stars!
The card looks a little more sparkly in real life.
Short and sweet.....I guess that's how CAS cards go.
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day!
***** And how fitting is this post......CITY OF DAVID......Our very own Big Papi, David Ortiz!!! Well done Red Sox......Well Done!!! *****
Wow your card is great Donna! I love CAS and you do it well!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea to just use black and white. it seems to show the quiet awesomeness of that special night so long ago.
ReplyDeleteYou have inspired me with this one. I need to bring out that stamp set again. As I said over on STV, it's difficult to get a good image with a black silhouette, and you have done it perfectly. Love the simplicity of this!! And congrats again on the fantastic WIN!!!!!
ReplyDeleteReally beautiful and serene. Thank you so much for joining us this week at CASology!
