I must say I had a lot of fun 'copying' Theresa Momber's original creation, seen HERE. She has remarkable step by step tutorials which I utilize all the time. She has a smart way with shading, sponging and coloring, if you're ever in doubt I suggest you check out her blog!
My card will be entered into the Mod Squad Blog, to CASE someone, and at the Stamp TV Challenge, It's Ovalerly Easy, to use an oval somewhere on your project.
My card uses the Stamp TV stamp set, Birds and Blossoms! This is an older set, but truly a classic. Beautiful images to create and color. Theresa's post is now 2 years old, yet remains timeless!
I didn't have the exact same products, so I switched out the Grand Decorative Ovals die for Spellbinders Beaded Oval die, several different Copic Marker colors and I did not have the Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics A Frames so I just used my Scor Pal and scored several lines to create my frame. I also used the Spellbinders Classic Oval die. A lovely flourish of adhesive rhinestones and the Spellbinders Fancy Tags die.
Thanks again for popping in, you are appreciated!
Enjoy~~
Absolutely STUNNING!!! Your coloring is impeccable - you really nailed that bird. And I love your sponged background, and your color choices. So did you stamp the image on the oval, or did you fussy cut. Prob'ly if I went over and watched the vid I would find out. I am in LOVE with this card!!!

ReplyDeleteWhen coloring and shading gets this good, I don't think that you can call it stamping any more. This is art. Beautiful job CASEing this card. Theresa does do a great job with instructions, but you need to be talented too. (Sigh) I wish I brought more of my stamps.
