Double D, Glitter

Good Morning!

A brand new Challenge is up and running over at the Double D Challenge Blog.

Check out this Inspirational Tile!

All that Glitters is not gold.....sometimes it's PINK!!!

I started with a Spellbinders Captivating Squares die cut, which I doused with this beautiful Martha Stewart Glitter in Tourmaline....let me just say this color will come in super handy for making Christmas Ornaments for our little Penny-Poo!  :)  I added a Swiss Dots textured panel to the Spellbinders die cut, which makes for a lovely resting space for my glitter butterfly!

My butterfly is by Cheerylynn, Small Lace Butterfly.  I die cut the pretty image in White card stock and the backing from Adhesive Paper.  In this way I was able to layer the 2 pieces together and then sprinkle and burnish in my pretty glitters, I used; Amethyst, Kunzite and more of the Tourmaline.  The Adhesive Paper really holds onto the glitter....yay!

A few different angles so you can see all of that sparkle and shine!

I also popped up the butterfly for added dimension.

Sentiment stamped on a Vellum strip in Rose Red, and then Heat Embossed with Clear Powder, this helps with the smearing issue.  PTI, Happy For You stamp set.

Adhesive pearls and a little Heart Button for accents.

Please come on over to the Double D Blog and join in all of the FUN!  You'll be glad you did as there is always a pretty prize up for grabs!

Enjoy~~

Thoughts Of You

Good Morning!

Time again to play along in the Papertey Ink Blog Hop, June 2017.

Here's my card:

I decided to do a little water coloring this time around.  I have used the Papertrey Ink products; Vintage Linens, stamp and dies.  Mix And Mat Flourishes die.  Jar And Lid--Quart, stamp and die.  Happy For You stamp set.

I stamped my sentiment on a Vellum strip.  Even though I have several layers it's a perfectly flat card, easy for mailing.

Thanks for hopping by!

Enjoy~~

You Make My Days Brighter

Back again, just had to finish up my PTI Homework.

This will be entered into the Challenge at Papertrey Ink, Past, Present And Future 2016.

I chose Heather's fabulous card shown here, where she used the Painted Petals set.

And just now I noticed her stitching at the top.....oopsie!

Here is my card, sans sewing:

I used the Papertrey Ink stamp sets; Flower Favorites, Happy For You and Happy Hexagons.  Inks in Always Artichoke, Black Licorice, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive and Pear Pizzazz.  I didn't have a viny leaf stamp so I made do with the 3 leaf stamp that comes with the Flower Favorites set, which was kind of a pain in the neck as I had to keep masking it off, but I have achieved the look I was going for.

I have 2 inexpensive White ink pads, both were not any help in the stamping department.  :(  I decided to stamp the small flowers in Wild Honey Distress ink.  I also added some dots all over using a White Marker.  Iridescent Sequins for accents.  Washi Tape.

I can't believe I did not see that stitching until posting, I have been sewing all week on my cards.  I kept thinking it needed something along the top, and am mad at myself.  I suppose I could add it now.

Well all of my PTI Anniversary Homework is complete, it has been a lot of fun to create cards for this celebration AND I have actually cut into lots of that beautiful PTI paper that I bought--YAY!

Thanks for coming by.

Enjoy~~

Happy Birthday

Good Morning!

This card will be entered into the Challenges at Papertrey Ink, Past, Present And Future 2012 and Simon Says Monday, Favorite Tool.....which is back to my Janome Mini Sewing Machine.  I am hooked on sewing on cards again!

I loved Betsy's card shown here, she used the Sentiment Signs set.

And here's what I created:

I used a few Papertrey Ink products; Happy For You, Pretty Petals and Shakers & Sprinkles stamp sets.  And I loved Betsy's card soooo much I cut into several packs of that 19 paper pad collection I have been hoarding lol.  Rustic White card stock, Designer Papers in; Bitty Star Basics, Classic Kraft, Damask Design, Funky Town and Green Boutique! So there!

The flag cuts were made using MFT's Blueprints #12 die set.  I stitched them right to the Classic Kraft Designer paper.  The frame round Happy Birthday was hand cut and popped up on itty bitty pieces of Fun Foam.  Inks in; Pink Pirouette, Melon Mambo, So Saffron, Daffodil Delight, Pool Party. Tempting Turquoise, Wisteria Wonder and Perfect Plum

I really love the Subway Tile look of Betsy's design!

Thanks for all of the sunshine and happiness, smiles and JOY!

Enjoy~~

Thought Of You Today.....

.....And Smiled.

Welcome Back!  Papertrey Ink has been keeping me busy with daily Challenges and a glance back at their products through the years.

This card will be entered into the Challenges at Papertrey Ink, Past,Present And Future 2009 and Simon Says Monday, Favorite Tool.

Although I haven't sewn on my cards a lot I do love working with my little Janome Mini Sewing Machine and I have always adored sewing on cards!  So, today, right now, the Sewing Machine is my favorite tool.....I am sure it will change from card to card, wink, wink.

I fell in love with Betsy's card.  You may see her original Post HERE!

Brilliant right?

Here's what I came up with:

I used the Papertrey Ink products; Shakers & Sprinkles, Scalloped Rectangle die which I cropped.  Pretty Petals and Happy For You stamp sets.  Inks in Pink Pirouette and Soft Sky.  Spellbinders Long Classic Rectangle die which was also cropped and the entire panel is backed with Fun Foam.  Corner Rounder.  I sewed my background panel all around and then down the joining pieces of pretty Designer Papers by Pebbles, Garden Party.

Dies R Us Butterfly #2 Set, 3 layers, 2 in Designer Paper and the top one is Vellum.  Adhesive Pearl, colored with a Copic Marker, for accent.  Sheer Ribbon  tied all around the front panel while I made a little accent using Pink and White Gingham Ribbon.

Sentiment stamped on a Vellum hand cut flag in Pool Party ink and heated with Clear Embossing Powder.  Button accent on flower center.

We are in the middle of another Blizzard so playing with pretty papers, flower stamps and butterflies is a great distraction!

Thanks for flitting by.

Enjoy~~

Hello, Lovely

Back again playing along in the PTI Challenge Past, Present And Future, 2008.

I fell in love with this little glimpse of perfection by Michelle Wooderson:

Here's Michelle's original POST in all it's glory, she uses the Flower Garden set.

I must inform you that I am not a seamstress (I hate the way 'sewer' looks lol) yet I have always had some fabrics in my stash just in case.  I couldn't find any bright and happy prints, so these will have to do.

I have used many Papertrey Ink products; Simple Sunflower stamps and dies, sentiment from Happy For You, stencil from Garden Gate and the Scalloped Rectangle die from the Shakers & Sprinkles Kit--which has been cropped.  I sewed fabric onto a piece of card stock as my base, and then wrapped another print around it for contrast.  Placed an MFT Dotted Scallop Border die beneath.

Inks in; Marina Mist, Pink Pirouette and Wild Wasabi.  Sentiment stamped in Black Licorice, topped with Clear Embossing Powder.  Sheer Ribbon, Baker's Twine, Button and Adhesive Pearls for accent.  I always color the white pearls to match the card using Copic Markers.

I really adore Michelle's card, don't think I have done it justice, but I am okay with my creation.

Thanks for stopping in!

Enjoy~~

Hello, Lovely

Good Morning!

I was finally able to get in my craft room after work yesterday.....unfortunately Mo & Jo did not join me.  I think they have gone on a summer vacation, I pray it is a short one!

I created a few white flowers using the Cheery Lynn Small Gardenia dies, adhesive pearl centers.  Added leaves with the Paper Smooches Foliage 1 die, cut in red, of course.  Stampin' Up! Tags And Labels die by Sizzix.  And the MFT Bracket Edge Duo die.  Lots and lots of dies!

Stamp sets by PTI; Daydreamer and Happy For You.  Designer Paper by American Crafts, Crimson.  Polka Dot Ribbon and Adhesive Pearls for accents.

I just adore this sweet simple sentiment!

This card will be entered into the following Challenges:

Cheery Lynn, Anything Goes!
Scrapyland, Anything Goes!
Penny Black, Anything Goes With Stamp
Stamping Sensations, Anything Goes With Stamp And Ribbon
Simon Says Monday, Red, White And/or Blue
