Be Happy

Good morning!

Today's card will be entered into the Challenges at Papertrey Ink, Create Along With Us and Simon Says Wednesday, Spring Color Inspiration.

I chose to case this beautiful card by Lizzie at PTI:

Switching up the colors and using this palette from SS:

Here's what I came up with:

I used the Papertrey Ink stamp sets Pretty Petals, Happy Hexagons and the stamp and die sets from Flower Favorites.  Spellbinders Standard Circles die.  Inks in; Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry, Pink Pirouette and Wild Wasabi.

After stamping my Vellum Strip I heat set Clear Embossing Powder over my sentiment stamped in Raven Black ink.  I am always afraid of smudges.  Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Butter, spritzed all over.  My colors seem a bit darker here, must be the editing, the round panel on the inside is a Blue Lagoon card stock, which is turquoise....hmmmm.

I love the design of Lzzie's card, it's just so clever!

Thanks for dropping by!

Enjoy~~

Fancy Tag

Good Afternoon!

This sweet little Tag will be entered into the Challenges at; Papertrey Ink, Packaging Inspiration, Penny Black, Anything Goes and Simon Says Wednesday, Special Lady /Girl.

I used the MFT Stitched Traditional Tags dies.  I cut one out of a neutral chip board and one out of a pale pink card stock.  Layered the large tag with a strip of Papertrey Ink Berry Sorbet Designer Paper and some sparkly Gold Washi Tape.  I found a Vellum Envelope in my stash and trimmed the top off using an MFT Bracket Edge Duo die.  Spellbinders Hearts dies cut twice.  One was stamped with a little heart and the other with a Mother's Day sentiment, both from Papertrey Ink, Pretty Petals and Tag Its #2 sets.  The pink tag fits nicely into the sweet little envie.

Then I just added a bunch of accents.  Heart and Gold Glitter Brads.  Paper Doily and Flouncy Pink Ribbon.  Mini Clothes Pin.  Gold Twine and Iridescent Sequins.  Adhesive Pearls.  Brutus Monroe White Alabaster ink.

Now to think of her gift.

Thanks for popping in.

Enjoy~~

Be Happy

Back again!

This card will be entered into the Challenges at; Papertrey Ink, Past, Present And Future 2013 and  Simon Says Wednesday, Fantastic Florals.

I chose Melissa's beautiful card shown here, she used the Ruby Rose set.

And here is my creation:

Rustic White card stock and Berry Sorbet Designer Paper, both from Papertrey Ink.  Also from PTI; Vintage Linens stamps and dies and Pretty Petals stamp set.  Musical Notes Designer Paper from my stash.  Sentiment stamped in Black Licorice ink.

Flowers and leaves stamped in Calypso Coral, Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive and Wild Wasabi inks.  Buttons and twine for accents.  I also stuck a bit of white tulle under the large flower for some added texture.   Corner rounder.

Super fun to create.  I have been having a ball with these Anniversary Challenges at PTI.  And I am happy to say I am caught up, although I did just see year 2014 hit my mail box. lol

Thanks for coming by, hope you are having a creative and fun weekend!

Enjoy~~

Happy Birthday

Good Morning!

This card will be entered into the Challenges at Papertrey Ink, Past, Present And Future 2012 and Simon Says Monday, Favorite Tool.....which is back to my Janome Mini Sewing Machine.  I am hooked on sewing on cards again!

I loved Betsy's card shown here, she used the Sentiment Signs set.

And here's what I created:

I used a few Papertrey Ink products; Happy For You, Pretty Petals and Shakers & Sprinkles stamp sets.  And I loved Betsy's card soooo much I cut into several packs of that 19 paper pad collection I have been hoarding lol.  Rustic White card stock, Designer Papers in; Bitty Star Basics, Classic Kraft, Damask Design, Funky Town and Green Boutique! So there!

The flag cuts were made using MFT's Blueprints #12 die set.  I stitched them right to the Classic Kraft Designer paper.  The frame round Happy Birthday was hand cut and popped up on itty bitty pieces of Fun Foam.  Inks in; Pink Pirouette, Melon Mambo, So Saffron, Daffodil Delight, Pool Party. Tempting Turquoise, Wisteria Wonder and Perfect Plum

I really love the Subway Tile look of Betsy's design!

Thanks for all of the sunshine and happiness, smiles and JOY!

Enjoy~~

Thought Of You Today.....

.....And Smiled.

Welcome Back!  Papertrey Ink has been keeping me busy with daily Challenges and a glance back at their products through the years.

This card will be entered into the Challenges at Papertrey Ink, Past,Present And Future 2009 and Simon Says Monday, Favorite Tool.

Although I haven't sewn on my cards a lot I do love working with my little Janome Mini Sewing Machine and I have always adored sewing on cards!  So, today, right now, the Sewing Machine is my favorite tool.....I am sure it will change from card to card, wink, wink.

I fell in love with Betsy's card.  You may see her original Post HERE!

Brilliant right?

Here's what I came up with:

I used the Papertrey Ink products; Shakers & Sprinkles, Scalloped Rectangle die which I cropped.  Pretty Petals and Happy For You stamp sets.  Inks in Pink Pirouette and Soft Sky.  Spellbinders Long Classic Rectangle die which was also cropped and the entire panel is backed with Fun Foam.  Corner Rounder.  I sewed my background panel all around and then down the joining pieces of pretty Designer Papers by Pebbles, Garden Party.

Dies R Us Butterfly #2 Set, 3 layers, 2 in Designer Paper and the top one is Vellum.  Adhesive Pearl, colored with a Copic Marker, for accent.  Sheer Ribbon  tied all around the front panel while I made a little accent using Pink and White Gingham Ribbon.

Sentiment stamped on a Vellum hand cut flag in Pool Party ink and heated with Clear Embossing Powder.  Button accent on flower center.

We are in the middle of another Blizzard so playing with pretty papers, flower stamps and butterflies is a great distraction!

Thanks for flitting by.

Enjoy~~

Celebrate The Everyday

Good Morning!  Another foot of snow....oh joy!  BUT, it does make perfect crafting weather!  There's always and upswing!

I made this fantastic little tag for the Challenge over at Papertrey Ink, Create Along With Us!  As you probably know they have been celebrating 9 years and have many Challenges to play along in, this happens to be #4.....I have managed to play along with them all so far.  So, I guess it could keep snowing!

I was inspired by Danielle's little tag.

LOVE the sentiment on Danielle's Tag!

I used the Papertrey Ink stamp sets, City Scene (and dies) and Pretty Petals.  I first used the 'road' stamp and made a plaid background on the base of my tag, using ink in Dove Grey and Tuxedo Black.  That little road comes in quite handy, I have used it for other types of stamping too, not just roads. lol  Then I cut the buildings and trees using the dies and stamped them all up.  It was kind of fun creating my 'little neighborhood', especially without snow!

Let's celebrate the everyday!

Thanks for coming by.....careful on the walkway!

Enjoy~~

Thankful

Hello!

Today's card will be entered in to the following Challenges:

Papertrey Ink, Motif Building
Dies R Us, #37 Thankful
Simon Says Monday, Thanks/Thanksgiving

This was a FUN Challenge, check out Betsy's VIDEO.  I used many Papertrey Ink stamp sets;  Daydreamer, Flower Favorites, Pretty Petals, Simple Sunflower (stamp & die) and Uncorked.  Lots of little stamps to choose from.  I did find that by using the center round stamp from Pretty Petals as my center focal point helped a lot, it let me gauge where I could stamp all around.

Inks in Always Artichoke, More Mustard, Pear Pizzazz and Tuxedo Black.  Spellbinders dies in Classic and Scallop Circles, MFT Fancy Flourish and some pretty sheer taupe ribbon for accent.  The background Designer Paper is by My Mind's Eye, Paris & Co.  I thought the polka dots would look great with my stamped dots.

This will be mailed off to a friend of mine who has been working hard lately!  Hope she enjoys it.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Enjoy~~

Be Happy In Pink And Green

Good afternoon!

Today's card will be entered into the Challenges at PTI, Stamping And Mixing Patterns and Simon Says Monday, One Stamp, Many Ways.

I found this photo on Pinterest as my inspiration.

I used several stamp sets from Papertrey Ink, City Scene, Happy Hexagons, Pretty Petals, and Uncorked.  I made 3 different small panels of Designer Paper using inks in Melon Mambo, Soft Sky, Tempting Turquoise and Wild Wasabi.

I also used an MFT Mini Tab die and an EK Success (3 layer) Butterfly Punch.  Pink and green ribbons, eyelets, Vellum and a few rhinestones for accents.

So fun to make your own Designer Paper.

Doodling

Hello Again!

My card for today will be entered into the Challenge at PTI, Doodling With Stamps.  If there's one thing I have learned from this Challenge, it's.....I can not doodle.  Who knew it would be so difficult?  Ashley made it look so easy on her VIDEO.

As I felt my doodling was not up to par, I left it in the background of my card.  I think I should have used water colors, they look so much more artsy!  The stamp set is, Pretty Petals.  I used inks in, Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo, Wild Wasabi and the sentiment was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black.  The card stock is Turquoise Sea.   I just randomly stamped the flower images and added small and large leaves.  I love these images, they're HAPPY!  Rounded the card corners and the white layer has been popped up using 3D dots.  This card is all about the stamped images, no accents added.  I'll have to stick this in my Mom's card box as it shouldn't use any extra postage.

Thanks for bopping by!

Enjoy~~

Floral Bouquet

Hello!  Just a quick post.

This card will be entered into Papertrey Ink's Challenge #4, to create a floral bouquet.

I used the Pretty Petals set to create my Floral Bouquet.  Stampin' Up!  Inks in Melon Mambo, Pear Pizzazz, Tempting Turquoise, and Wild Wasabi.  I also added several enamel brads in corresponding colors.

Off I go to polish up my shovel, more snow (aka a blizzard) on Thursday.....ahhh Paradise!

Celebrate Everyday!

Good Morning!  Thankfully I am writing this on Sunday morning, so I have NO idea how much snow we got overnight!  So no complaining about that.....you're lucky!

This next card will be entered into the 2nd Challenge At Papertrey Ink.  We were to welcome back Maile Belle, head over to her Blog and be inspired and CASE one of her creations.

Here is her Blog.

This is the card Maile created using the Trendy Tree Tops set.

And here is my interpretation:

I used one of the tree stamps from Through The Trees set.  The sentiment is from Pretty Petals.  To create the circles of color behind the trees I used a Spellbinders Classic Circle die and masked it off where the trees would be stamped.  The inks are from Stampin' Up! in Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz and Pool Party.   I like that this a 'no layer' card and it is clean and simple.  I find these the hardest cards to design and make, but Maile took all the work out of that for me!

Thanks so much for coming by, I always appreciate you doing so!

Enjoy~~

Be Happy!

Hello again!

Lots of wonderful Challenges going on over at Papertrey Ink, they are celebrating their 8th Anniversary!

This card was made for their 1st challenge, you could choose from 8 Color / 8 Sketch Challenges.   (scroll to the bottom of the post from that link).

I chose this Sketch:

I hand cut the large tag out of chipboard and covered it in Designer Paper that matches the  background, I love this color combo.  I then stamped several random flowers from the Pretty Petals stamp set, and covered the entire tag with a sheet of Vellum.  I also stamped the circle image onto white card stock and cut that out with a Spellbinders Classic Circle die, to act as my 'button' placed it on the hole of the large tag, topped with a pretty bow.  The 2 small tags were cut using my Cameo for some other project, these are leftovers.  I stamped the Be Happy sentiment on to them, this is a one piece stamp, yet I masked off the words to make it 2 separate words.  Added a little Baker's Twine to tie them on the large tag and then took the liberty to add 2 pretty enamel brads in the lower right corner.

The inside also has a bit of the Designer Paper to add some interest--this is becoming my signature look I think.  Easy to do and adds quite a bit of loveliness.

Thanks for coming by.....don't slip on the ice and snow!

Enjoy~~
