A Little Shabby, A Little Chic

Hello!

Today's card will be entered into the Challenges at Power Poppy, Shabby Chic, Simon Says Wednesday, Tie It Up!, Dies R Us, Summertime Fun, Simon Says Monday, Homegrown Summer, and Penny Black Summer Flowers.

 

I used the Digital Image, Dancing With Daffodils from Power Poppy.  Not one to use digitals much (or at all), I must say it is easier than I thought and I love this particular image, so that helps!  Colored with Copic Markers and a touch of Sakura Glaze pen.  

 

The edges of each card stock layer was distresses to add softness and shabbiness.  The wooden button was also colored to deepen the hue.  A ribbon down the center and some sheer ribbon tied in a knot for accent.  And of course a multi bow made of Jute Twine.  Three small enamel brads in matching color to balance off the look.  MFT Dizzy Border Die on either side.  The Designer Paper is by DCWV, Lace And Linen.

 

Although Daffodils are typically a Spring flower, if you look below you will see some pretty little pink ones too....Dogwood perhaps?  And for the record I do let the greens of my Daffodils grow throughout the summer, braiding them back until they are brown and dried as this feeds the flower for next year.  By doing this mine are magnificent!  (even if I do say so myself)  ;)

Feeling Down?

Hope not, but if so, maybe this  Great Impressions creation will cheer you up!

This card uses the beautiful sentiment framed with flowers, E879 Feeling Down and sweet little images G525 Birdie Friends, how cute?!?! 

 

 

Using bracket dies I made several little layers topped with itty bitty Adhesive Pearls.  A couple of eyelets threaded with some pale pink ribbon tied in a bow, with a little heart charm that says made with love.

Yo Ho Ho

Good Morning!

Today's card will be entered into the Challenges at Inspired By Stamping, Sketch and Simon Says Wednesday, Tie It Up!

 

 

I used the IBS stamp sets, Background Basics IV and Pirates.   Ink is Always Artichoke with a little sponging using Antique Linen, Designer Paper is by K and Company, Sea Glass.....perfect for the pirate theme!



 

 

Pirate Flag stamped in Tuxedo Black and fussy cut, popped up on 3 Dimensional Dots.  Tag was made using the MFT Stitched Traditional Tag die, I'm getting a lot of use out of them!  ;)

 

Yo Ho Ho and a bottle of Rum.....or at least Pinot!

Hogs & Kisses

Hello again!

I made a quick little card WITH a tag (love them!) for the Challenges at Tag You're It!, Photo Inspiration and Simon Says Wednesday, Tie It Up!

 



 

Ooooh that face!!! Gets me every time, so cuuute!  lol  The stamp set is by Gina K Designs, Funny Farm.  Tag was made using the Stitched Traditional Tag dies from MFT.  The background was made by making a sturdy stencil from the PTI Chevrons Cover Plate.



 

Washi Tape accents on card and tag, the border was made by the MFT Bracket Edge Border die.  Image colored with Copic Markers.  Ribbon, Eyelet, and Enamel Brads for accents.  The tag is popped up using 3 Dimensional Dots.

 

I tell ya, that face!!!  lol

Peeking In

Good Morning! 

It's such a beautiful day, even if I do have to work!  The sun is shining, the birds are singing and the humidity has headed for unknown parts.....life is good, knock on wood!  ;)

Today's card will be entered into the Challenges at MFT Sketch and CASology, Precious.

 

 

When I first saw the Sketch I immediately thought window, of course!  So I did a cropped/masked stamped image of this sweet little girl (and sentiment too) from MFT, Pure Innocence, I Pick You!  I wanted her to be peeking in on the recipient of this card, you know just checking up on them!  I also did a cropped/masked stamped image of the bouquet of flowers she was holding, but to be honest, it just looked creepy!  You could see her arms and flowers, but nothing more....super creepy!  So I looked through a bunch of my other stamps and found this pot of pretty little posies from Gina K Designs, Baskets Of Happiness.  Perfect!  

 

Images colored with Copic Markers and Sakura Glaze Pens added to all flowers.

 

She's just super sweet, I think!

Gate Fold Shell Card

Scor Pal, More Than One Score, Birthday.

 

I used the Gina K Designs stamp sets, Birthday Duo and By The Sea 2.  Base card stock measures 4.25" x 8.5", scored at 2 1/8" and 6 3/8"....and when using a Scor Pal they have so kindly made a raise dot at these two marks, to make creating a Gate Fold card that much easier....thanks Scor Pal!!!  The larger focal circle tucks in right behind the smaller circle, which is raised by using Pop Dots.

Added two Bracket Edge border dies, to create some interest, Birthday sentiment and a little beach grass too.

Shell colored with Copic Markers. Some sheer ribbon tied on.  MFT Blueprints #12 die and Spellbinders Scallop Circle die.

 

Spellbinders Classic and Scallop Circle dies and 3 Adhesive Rhinestones colored with Copic Markers.

 



 

Not too much going on with this card, but to be perfectly honest with you, I LOVE IT!!!

Sweet Summer Strawberries

Hello!

Today's card is for the Challenges at Stamp TV, Summer Fun, hosted by a dear friend, Sharyn Polesel and Simon Says Wednesday, Tie It Up!

 

My card uses the Gina K Designs stamp sets, Sweet Strawberries and Buds And Vases.  I stamped the jar on white card stock and then again on Vellum and fussy cut them both out.  Then I stamped the 2 larger strawberries, colored them and then fussy cut them out, twice.  I 'filled' my jar and then adhered the Vellum layer to mimic the glass.  Tied it off with a bit of Baker's Twine.

 

I stamped 2 of the strawberry plants directly onto the white background and colored with Copic Markers.  I centered my filled jar over the two images.  Added a sentiment, some flourishes,  3 Dotted Scallop borders, in varying sizes, rhinestones and ribbon.  And one Bracket Edge border cut at the top.  The Designer paper is also from GKD, Berries & Vines.

 

Nothing better than biting into a delicious ripe summer strawberry.....oh wait.....maybe a delicious frozen strawberry daiquiri....yum!
