Merry Rustic Christmas

Hello!  

Had a little bit of time to play!

This card will be entered into the following Challenges:

This was a fun card to make.  I wanted it to look like a sign was hanging out by 

the curb and the barn beyond.  Kind of rustic and country, ya know?

I used the Gina K Designs stamp sets; 

A Year Of Flowers 2, Perfect Pallets and Rustic Autumn.

Stamped in Amalgam Black ink and colored with Copic Markers.

On my wood grained die cut I used Dove Grey and Timber Brown inks, 

die cut with Spellbinders Classic Ovals and backed with Fun Foam for dimension.

Barn was stamped and fussy cut out.

The 'tree line' was created using the 'feathers' from the Perfect Pallets stamp set, 

they are for creating an arrow image.

WOS and Stickles for a glistening background.

 Distress ink also for the background.

Perfect Pearls for Poinsettia center.

Red and White Gingham Ribbon.

Just A Note

Good Morning!

Today's card will be entered into a few Challenges hosted by Simon Says Stamp:

Simon Says Stamp Collaboration  Paper Smooches.

Simon Says Monday, Stitch It.

Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes.

I made my own stamps ala Jen McGuire, 

using these dies from Paper Smooches, Foliage 1 and Fun Foam. 

Of course, I had to be a bit different and reverse the image ;)  

Stamped many leaves in a collage style in Distress Oxide inks in;

Fossilized Amber, Peeled Paint and Spiced Marmalade.

I then cut many pieces in yellow, green and orange card stock 

and laid them over the stamped images.

It looks like a hot mess from here, 

but in real life it looks pretty cool and has a depth to it.

Covered with a sheet of Vellum to soften the look,  which I added the Paper Smooches Stitched die to along each side.
Sentiment is from their Sentiment Sampler set, stamped with Amalgam Black ink and then heat embossed with Clear Embossing Powder.
Thin Natural Twine.
Adhesive Rhinestones.

Fall Sunflowers

I used the Power Poppy die sets,  In Praise of Sunflowers and Short Stacks!  

That sunflower is perfect for creating cards for this time of year!

I stamped the large sunflower image off the paper, in Amalgam Black ink, 

turned and did it again.   I also added a couple of extra leaves here and there.

Images colored with Copic Markers.

Placed a wonky panel, covered with my stamped panel.

Added a bit of chunky Jute Twine for accent and ink splatters 

in Timber Brown and Crushed Curry.

Fun Foam, the stamped panel is nice and sturdy.

Now run right over to Barb's place and her AHmazing Challenge!

Double D, Focus On The Sentiment

Good Morning! 

A brand new Challenge is up and running over at the Double D Challenge Blog.

I adore this sentiment!

The She Leaves A Little Sparkle Wherever She Goes is by Great Impressions, Sparkle stamp.

Now if you are a crafter of any sorts, you know this to be true.....like literally true!  LOL

And as much as a loooooove that stamp I just had to add a bit more whimsy using the PTI Shakers and Sprinkles Kit items, Scatter die and JOY stamp.

The frames were created by using the dies from that same PTI Kit. 

Inks in; Bermuda Bay, Tempting Turquoise and Wild Wasabi.

I patted Stickles all over the inked background, to make it really sparkle.

White and Black Embossing Powders.

Iridescent Sequins.
