You Can Never Be Too Young Or Too Thin lol

Good Morning!  Time for a quick post as the Challenge clock is TICKING!!!  (oops the clock ran out on one of the Challenges, sorry Curtain Call--lol)

Here's my latest card:

I got my stamp order from Art Impressions, super FAST!  The image is from the Laughing Set (#4385) and the sentiment is from Girlfriends (#UM3577).  My girlfriend, Diana turns 60 this year, shhhhh, so I think this will be a perfect card for her.  Friends through thick and thin (mostly thick on my end, wink, wink.)  Image colored with Copic Markers.  Chevron Embossing Folder on the pink background.  A little bit of lace placed behind the focal image to compliment the doily halves at top and bottom.  A sprig of white leaves, edges shaded in pink and a home made white rose, also shaded with pink, which was created by layering several Spellbinders Scalloped Circle dies using white tissue paper, a center pink brad to hold them all together.  And a few accents of pink rhinestones.  All in all, I think she may enjoy this card!  I can see I will get a lot of mileage from these stamps, especially when I mix and match the sentiments and images.
This card will be entered into the following Challenges:
Art Impressions to use a doily.
Mod Squad love that texture.
Simon Says Monday start from scratch.
Thanks for popping in, off to grocery shop before work, while everyone else is still asleep.  Oh JOY!
Enjoy your day!

  1. This is so much fun! I know your girlfriend will love it. Love the addition of the doily, lace and flower....and that stamp set is a hoot! Thanks so much for joining us this week at the Mod Squad Challenge!

  2. Love your entry this week. Perfect sentiment for a friend's special birthday, and the feminine touches that you added are super. All in all a fun card,

  3. This card absolutely made me smile! I love the stamps you chose and I really like the way you colored them. They look so pro! I also like the addition of the lace and flower, which give the card such an elegant feel. You've managed to combine sophistication with wonderful humor. Beautiful card and I'm so glad you shared it with us here at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog!

  4. Love this! You've sure been busy cranking out some wonderful cards!!

  5. GREAT CARD!!! Your friend will LOVE it. Ya gotta fove those AI stamps. As always your coloring is superb.

  6. This is the absolute PERFECT card for Diana! I LOVE Art Impressions girlfriends stamps. I have one my self, and use it often. Your design is so cute, I am trying to figure out which image is YOU. I think maybe the one with the purple top. Super card my friend. I can already hear Diana when she opens it.
