Valentine Cards

Back again with some Valentine cards to share with you!

This first one will be entered into the Challenges at Memory Box, It's All About Love, Clean And Simple, Simon Says Monday, Young At Heart, and Simon Says Wednesday, The Color Of Love

I was on a Valentine card making kick, but I was trying to make all easy, flat, mailable cards.

Papertrey Ink tree stamp, Through The Trees. Sentiment by Simon Says Stamp, Labeled With Love.  Ink in Black Licorice.  Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Blush spritzed all over, which gives a little bit of sparkle and shine.

White Marker to create snowy background, as well as a swipe from a White Frost ink pad.  Heart die by Memory Box, Homespun Heart.  I need to glue down the tail as you can see the shadow in this photo.

Two additional CAS (and almost flat) cards.  Spellbinders Hearts dies, cut through base card stock and Designer Paper and then layered together on the inside, topped with a heart button.  Impression Obsession Looped Heart die.  Papertrey Ink Swoosh die and stamp set.  Inside sentiment stamped in Real Red ink by Simon Says, Labeled With Love.

Thanks for popping in, LOVE it when you do!

Thinking Of You

Good Morning!

I am entering the Challenge at Papertrey Ink, Layered Dry Brushing and Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes!

I am sure my 'dry brushing' was wetter than needed, but I still like how they came out.

I created my background using craft paints in White, Yellow and Green.  I think I was a bit too heavy handed with it all, but am still pleased with how the backgrounds did come out.  I also added a strip of texture using a Darice Embossing Folder.  The texture really shows up the different layers and colors of the painting.

I used the pretty stamp set from PTI, Botanical Blocks III.  I heat embossed my images in White Embossing Powder.  Then proceeded to water color the pretty flowers.  Sentiment form Through The Trees, stamped in Black Licorice ink.  Candy Dots and Sheer Ribbon accents.  EK Success Punch.

I created this second card in the very same manner.

These floral images are really beautiful and lovely.

Thanks for stopping by!

Heartfelt Sympathy

Hello again!

This card will be entered into the Challenge at Papertrey Ink, Die Cut Stencil.

Papertrey Ink products; Hexagon die, Through The Trees stamp set and Flower Favorites, stamp and die sets.  I only used a portion of the Hexagon die and sponged in Frost White ink over my Kraft card stock base.  Then cutting the Hexagon die from more Kraft card stock I trimmed it down to create a full hexagon panel when placed up against the stenciled side.  I really love how that came out.  Topped the 'cut line' with a thin white ribbon and a pretty sparkly white ribbon too.

Cut and stamped the pretty flowers, inks in Pear Pizzazz, So Saffron, Timber Brown and Wild Wasabi.  Sentiment stamped in Black Licorice.  I added texture to the Kraft focal panel using a Honeycomb Embossing Folder.   Topped with my flowers  and sentiment and more sparkly ribbon.  I also added Dazzling Diamonds Glitter to the center of the flowers.  That sparkle really ties in well with my wide ribbon.

Thankfully I do not need a sympathy card just yet.  They are the hardest to make but the most important to send.  It's good to have some on hand.

Thanks for coming by!

Enjoy~~

Mr. & Mrs.

Good afternoon, what a rainy day it has been....just thankful it's not snow....

Today's card will be entered into the Challenges at; Papertrey Ink, Score Lines, Simon Says Monday, We Can See Clearly, Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes! and WOW! Embossing Powder.

I used the Papertrey Ink stamp sets; Love & Marriage, Love Notes, Through The Trees and Uncorked--and the matching die set.  Inks in; Antique Linen, Bravo Burgundy, Real Red and Weathered Wood.  Gold Embossing Powder.

The wine glass is a die cut covered in Vellum.  I scored 3 lines on the top 1/2 inch as well as the bottom.

I was going for a rustic look.  This card reminds me of our daughter's wedding last Fall....at a Cape Cod Vineyard under a magnificent Chinese Mulberry Tree!  Cheers!

Thanks for coming by.

With Heartfelt Sympathy

Hello!

This card will be entered into the Challenges at; Papertrey Ink, Sponged Stamping, Simon Says Monday, Make Your Own Background and Simon Says Wednesday, A Bit O' Green.

I used the Papertrey Ink's stamp set, Through The Trees.  I stamped the tree trunk first and then lined up the beautiful leaves.  Inked the stamp up with Pear Pizzazz and then sponged on Wild Wasabi and Garden Green inks.  The technique works well and gives a subtle color change to my leaves.  The base of the card was stamped willy nilly with the leaf stamp using Antique Linen ink, gives it a nice subtle look.

I then took some masking tape and rubbed it on to the Antique Linen ink pad, smoothed it over the base of the tree and then pulled it off.  It gives a nice smattering of ink as the ground below.  This was then mounted on a panel of Brown card stock that had been cut using the MFT Bracket Edge Duo die.  I also added 3 thin strips of tan Washi Tape.

Here you can see the different shades of the green leaves.

Thanks for coming by, love it when you do!

Enjoy~~

Beautiful Wedding, Lovely Marriage

Good Morning!

Today's card will be entered into the Challenges at; Papertrey Ink, Dress Up Inspiration, Penny Black, Anything Goes With Stamp And Die, and Stamping Sensation, Anything Goes!

I was inspired by this dress I saw online.

I used the Papertrey Ink stamp sets, Love & Marriage, Love Notes and Through The Trees.  I created a Polaroid Frame using a Cameo Cut File, which was cut out in chipboard and brown card stock.  Stamped the tree trunk in Timber Brown ink and the leaves in Wild Wasabi.  I also stamped the small heart on the trunk of the tree in Clear Embossing Powder and Cajun Craze ink.

Sentiment was also stamped in Wild Wasabi.  I ran the White card stock strip through an Embossing Folder with a flourish design and these sweet love birds, I only needed the little love birds for this card.  I created my little heart accent by layering several Spellbinders Hearts die together, looks and feels like chipboard.  Green Enamel Dots for accents.

I will hang on to this card til September 26th, which will be my daughter's 1st Anniversary.  They were married under a spectacular Chinese Mulberry Tree!  <3

Thanks so much for coming by, love it when you do!

Peace Within

Good Morning!  A chilly start to the day, but at least it is not like last year when we woke up to the aftermath of a blizzard....so far so good.

Today's card was made for the Challenges at Double D, Brrrrr~!, Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes! and Simon Says Work It Wednesday, Use Something New.

Of course I was drawn to those beautiful Red Cardinals....my most favorite in all the land!

I used the stamp set, Through The Trees from Papertrey Ink.  My NEW items are the dies, Memory Box, Birch Trio and MFT, Snow Drifts.

I started with a black glitter card stock and then built up my birch tree forest, adding a snowy slope.  The second row has been popped up on 3 dimensionals.  Each snowy slope has chunky glitter and each birch tree has a fine glitter added to it and then some Wink Of Stella Clear.  I stamped a bazillion Red Cardinals and then fussy cut them out.....need to find out if PTI has a matching die, these were a pain to cut out.  lol  BUT worth it, I think!  I have been wanting to make this style card for ages and now I have all the ingredients.

Thanks for flying in!

Enjoy~~

Papertrey Ink January 2016 Blog Hop

Good afternoon!  What a beautiful winter day we are having, snow covered ground, blue sky, lots of sunshine.  It's quite lovely!

I made a card for the Papertrey Ink January 2016 Blog Hop, this will also be entered into the the Dies R Us Challenge, Stitching, Real Or Faux.

I was drawn to the colors and the use of a repeating shape.

I used the Papertrey Ink products, Through The Trees stamp set and the stamp and die sets from Uncorked.  I also used a Paper Smooches die, Foliage 1 and a Corner Punch.

I repeated the leaves shape by using the punched layers and the Designer Paper, which is The Gathering Collection by Authentique.  Using Copic Markers I created corresponding leaves in blues and oranges.  Yesterday I created a Valentine card using this image and used Copic Markers in many different pinks, it's a very versatile stamp!  Sentiment stamped in Pacific Point ink, and the border of the die has stitching.  2 mini Adhesive Pearls for accents.

Thanks so much for coming by, love to have you over!

Enjoy~~
