Happy Easter Bunnies

Good Morning!

I have a sweet little Easter card to share with you today!  This will be entered into the Challenges at: ScrapyLand, Anything Goes, Stamp TV, Happy Easter and Mod Squad, You Wanna Piece Of Me? (to paper piece).

 

I used the Gina K Designs stamp set, Basket Blessings.  I stamped my bunnies and then paper pieced them in pink polka dots, all on a Spellbinders Labels 8 die cut.  The yellow die cut is by Papertrey Ink, Mix & Mat-Flourishes.  Stamped a few daffodils, colored with Copic Markers and then fussy cut them out.  Centers are colored with a Sakura Glaze Pen.  Brutus Monroe Raven Black ink.  Pink and White Gingham Ribbon.  Nuvo Crystal Drops in Carnation Pink.

You Color My World

Hello again!

This simple little card will be entered into the Challenge at Simon Says Monday, Make A Rainbow.

Truly this is an easy card to make.

 

 

A little water colored background and simple stamping process.  Nothing fancy!  The stamp set is A Life She Loved  by Taylored Expressions, which happens to be an AWESOME stamp set!

Although I do like the idea of this card, I don't think I executed it very well.  I should have kept the colors lighter.....brighter.....the blues and greens on the right are too dark, it's hard to see the image.  Maybe I should have colored them all in in black.  Hmmm.....perhaps I will try again.

Beautiful Day

Good Morning!

Today's card will be entered into the following Challenges; WOW! Embossing Powder, Favorite Technique, Penny Black, Spring, Simon Says Wednesday, Happy Birthday, Stamping Sensations, Anything Goes and ScrapyLand, Anything Goes!

 

 

 

One of my favorite techniques to do is Heat Emboss On Vellum.  Whether I choose a pretty powder or stamp first in ink and then coat with a clear powder.  I just love the look and use it a lot.  Plus if you add a heat embossed sentiment on a Vellum strip it does not take away from the beauty beneath.  And it looks AWESOME!  Here I have used the Altenew stamp set Beautiful Day.  Stamped in inks of Soft Sky, Pool Party, Bermuda Bay, Tempting Turquoise and then outlined in Black Raven.  The right side of the stamped flowers were fussy cut out and layered to a piece of black glitter card stock.

 

 

 

Polka Dot Designer Paper to add a bit of interest.  I also added a strip of the Teal card stock on the right.  Black craft paint splatters and Ebony Crystal Drops for accents.  My Butterfly Trio is by EK Success, White, Teal and Polka Dot Designer Paper layers.  Vellum strip heat embossed with Black Powder.  Adhesive pearls.

Double D, Neon/Brights

Good Morning!

A brand new Challenge is up and running over at the Double D Challenge Blog.

I must say this Challenge was a total Challenge for me!  I don't think I ever use Neon colors, but here is what I came up with.

 

 

 

This card measures 3 x 6 inches.  The die cut was just too beautiful to cut in any manner!  This die is by Tutti Designs and is the Butterfly Vine Border, isn't it beautiful?  It was cut from White card stock and then I proceeded to color it with Copic Markers.  I layered it on a piece of Black card stock which was then layered on the Neon Pink card stock.  Black card base.  

 

 

Using Brutus / Monroe Alabaster White ink I stamped lots of white dots using the PTI stamp set, Phrase Play #5.  I then added a few mini Adhesive Pearls to a couple of the butterflies for accents.

 

I think this looks like a beautiful tapestry.

Happy Thoughts

Good Morning! 

This card will be entered into the following Challenges; Simon Says Monday, Things With Wings, Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes!, Simon Says Work It Wednesday, Spring Has Sprung, Penny Black, All Things Spring and Stamping Sensations, Anything Goes!

 

 

I used the Altenew stamp sets, Beautiful Day and Wild Hibiscus.  Images stamped in Brutus Monroe Black Raven ink and colored with Copic Markers.  I stamped my flowers and butterflies on White card stock and then split the panel, adding a smaller sentiment panel in between which has been layered onto a strip of Yellow card stock.  These were mounted onto the Black card stock base.

 

 

 

I spritzed it all over with Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Butter and then splattered some Black Craft Paint all over too.  Sakura Black Glaze Pen added to flower centers.  Wink Of Glitter Clear pen for a little shimmer and shine.

 

The calendar says Spring, but Mother Nature still has the final word.....and it ain't Spring.  I have a feeling we will go right into summer.  Yikes!

Believe.....

Good Morning! 

Happy April!  I guess the saying is correct, April Showers.....only here it's more like a monsoon.  At least we'll have something to look forward to in May then, right???

Today's card will be entered into the Challenges at; Simon Says Monday, Things With Wings, Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes and Simon Says Work It Wednesday, Spring Has Sprung.

 

 

I used the stamp and die sets from Stampin' Up!, Avant Garden, Dragonfly Dreams and Detailed Dragonfly.  The Believe stamp is by Gina K Designs, Botanical Dreams.  I cut the large dragonfly twice, once out the White card front panel and then again out of  Wild Orchid, both by Gina K Designs.  I placed the die cut back into the negative space and added Vellum wings and Adhesive Rhinestones for accents.

 

 

 

Inks in Black Raven, Rich Razzleberry, Temptting Turquoise and Wild Wasabi.  I kept stamping off on the Sentiment, thought it might be lighter, which is what I was going for, a fade.

 

 

I love these flying dragonflies, it's a wonderful die.  The inside sentiment is also by Gina K Designs, By The Sea 2.

 

This was mailed earlier in the week, I hope the recipient enjoys it as much as I did making it.
