Good Morning!  The sun is (almost) shining, what a difference that makes, just sets the tone for the day.  YAY!

Today's card will be entered into the Challenges at; Papertrey Ink, Sketch, Stamping Sensations, Flowers, Penny Black* Love, Hearts or Flowers and Allsorts, Spots and/or Stripes.

*  I think I have been playing along at Penny Black wrong all these months/years--maybe not all the time, but probably enough.....I thought any type of stamping was eligible, but it should actually be the main focus.....oopsie.

Double D, Sequins

Good Morning!

A brand new Challenge is up and running over at the Double D Challenge Blog.

When I think of Sequins I think of Shaker Cards.....of course!!!

I used the Papertrey Ink Shakers And Sprinkles Kit and the Wonderful Word--Joy die. 

My Designer Paper is also by PTI and is covered in colorful Sequins!

This card is like an Etch-A-Sketch, if I keep shaking it all of that glitter disappears lol

I filled it with Sequins in many shades of blues and lots of glitter, as you can see.

My die cuts are layered Teal over Black so they POP just a bit more.

Years ago I found this PTI Video on how to make Shaker Cards the easy way using Fun Foam.

It is, by far the easiest way I know how!

Scrolly Heart Valentine, Take 2

Donna Phelan Back again on the Dies R Us Blog
sharing an easy Valentine with you!

I am really getting my money's worth using this FABULOUS Tutti Designs Scrolly Heart die!  This is the perfect time of year to invest in a die such as this!  Not only have I made several gorgeous Valentines with it, I have another creation coming in March using it with Gold Foil!!! 

This die can do no wrong!

This card will also be entered into the following Challenges;  Simon Says Monday, Love Is In The Air, Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes and Penny Black, Love, Hearts, Flowers.

I cut the Tutti Designs Scrolly Heart from white card stock and backed it with a hot pink card stock, in this way, you really can see all of that glorious detail of the Scrolly Heart. 

Using the pretty Penny Black Border Edgers die, which is a 2 piece set, I created my 'valance' in white and pink.  Both dies are beautiful and unique.

Always Be JOYful

Good Morning!

I had an amazing weekend, even with a Patriots loss....I got to babysit my sweet little Penny Poo while her parents had a little date!  She is soooooo delicious!

This is the 2nd Valentine card I have made her.  If you know anything about me and my family you must know we adore Giraffes!  Always have always will!  And my most favorite word in the entire world is JOY.  Which is also Penelope's middle name.  So I have combined all of these joyful things to create this FUN card.  Hope you agree!

I found this fabulous giraffe stamp, Funny Face by Carabelle Studio. 

When I saw that face AND that hair I knew I would buy it, even at full price lol 

Image stamped in Raven Black ink and colored with Copic Markers. 

I fussy cut it out and layered it on a piece of black card stock, so it would POP a bit more.  I also added some foam adhesive squares to the back of the giraffe for dimension.

In the background I placed sever die cut giraffe silhouettes and layered with a piece of Vellum.

Die by Poppy Stamps, Giraffe Trio.

The stamps are heat embossed in Black and are actually a small Bible Journaling set. 

I bought it for the Joy sentiments!

All My Love

Good Afternoon!

Just another little Valentine to share with you today.  This one is a bit unusual in my Designer Paper choices.  I wanted to mix it up a bit and see what would happen. 
I am happy to say I LOVE IT!


I am entering this card into the Challenges at Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes and
                   Simon Says Work It Wednesday, Love.

I started with some Papertrey Ink Designer Paper, Simple Valentine and then moved on to a pretty little floral print and black and white stripe, both from my stash.  Layered them and whipped out my Janome Mini and did a little stitching on the left side, adhering the Pink Heart Doily, cut in half, as I did so.  I used the DRU Butterfly #2 die set and cut in Hot Pink card stock and then in Black and White prints.  Topped with Candy Dots.

Thin Ribbon.

Black Embossing Powder.
