Double D, Lavender, Lilac, Purple

Good Morning!

A brand new Challenge is up and running over at the Double D Challenge Blog

This card will be entered into the
Simon Says Wednesday Challenge, Anything Goes!

Here is your Inspiration Tile:

So pretty, right?

Here is what I created:

Using the Memory Box Lavender Bunch die I cut many pieces in various shades of purple and lilac.  Before adhering to the card panel I stamped some foliage in Wild Wasabi ink using the Gina K Designs stamp set, Country Roads.  Basket is also by GKD, Holiday Basket set, which was colored with Copic Markers, fussy cut and backed with Fun Foam for dimension.

Penny Black Heart String die.
Spellbinders Hearts die.
Designer Paper by MFT, Homespun Gingham.
Amalgam Black ink.
Vellum.
Sheer Ribbon.
Twine.
Sequins.

Just that little bit of dimension which I love.

Please come on over to the Double D Blog and join in all of the FUN!

You'll be glad you did as there is always a pretty prize up for grabs!

Here's the prize for this Challenge:

Thanks for popping in, I love it when you do!
Enjoy~~

  3. Your basket of lavender is delightfully spring Donna! My lavender is just now starting to green up, now if spring would just come here to stay! We got below freezing last night. Thankfully I brought in my seedlings... Anywho, I'm rambling but wanted you to know that your lovely lavender card has me dreaming of warm weather.

  4. I adore those lavender in different shades of purple, but that basket caught my eye. What amazing coloring to make it so real. The extra gingham and ribbon really adds to your creation. Did you really have a chair in your garden?

  7. Such pure loveliness, Donna! The basket is absolutely gorgeous with the coloring. It reminds me of my Great Aunt's basket which is currently up on my cupboard. In WW1 she was a nurse. When the war ended, she helped in the epidemic, where she met her husband. On Sundays, they packed a picnic in the basket and went to the park for a day of rest. I still have the basket, and think of them fondly. She loved lavender. Your die cuts look amazing with the smudging of purple in the background and the careful layers of die cuts. It's a beautiful card, Donna! Thanks for the memories today. hugs, de

  12. This is so beautiful Donna. I love that you die cut your lavender in lots of different shades of lilac and purple and the way you coloured your basket is phenomenal! Your details are so pretty - I like the way the ribbon fits underneath your basket and I love your heart shaped tags attached to it. And I see you have a nice piece of Picnic Cloth Pattern (!) on your panel too :) Have a great weekend, Vicky x

  13. Oh, I love everything about this. It reminds me of the huge baskets of lavender I used to see in nurseries when I was a kid. I can almost smell their fragrance. Your design is just fabulous, and as always, I love that sweet heart swag. Happy Mother's Day, my friend!!!
