Good Morning!
After 4 days of a Nor' Easter we finally have sunshine!
YAY!!!
This card will be entered into the following Challenges:
Simon Says Monday, Fall/Autumn.
Allsorts, Dots and/or Stripes.
Created my background with Distress Oxide inks,
Heidi Swapp Color Shine White and water drops.
I used the PTI products; Friendship Jar Fillers Fall,
Dress Up Dolls Basic and Halloween stamps and die sets.
Images stamped in Amalgam Black ink colored with Copic Markers.
I also added WOS to all of the images.
This next card will be entered into the Challenges at;
Gina K Designs, Repeating Sentiment.
Penny Black, Pretty In Pink.
I used the Gina K Designs stamp sets; Hugs And Wildflowers
and Sweetest Memories--which is a blast from the past....Red Rubber!!!
I stamped all of my flowers in Amalgam Black ink on to water color paper....then...
I just started flicking and splattering the ink all over.
I did a little bit of 'painting' by smooshing the ink onto the images.
I struggle a great deal with water coloring, typically it all turns a murky brown, but I found this VIDEO by Erum, from Altenew. It's a Splatter Technique.
Erum has a whole coloring series you can find HERE.
Flowers cut out using the coordinating dies.
Using a Spellbinders Standard Circle die, 2 which I layered, I created a ring for my wreath pattern. All flowers are adhered to it. Some I added Foam Dots to for dimension.
Background ink splatters. Inks in; Bermuda Bay,
Calypso Coral, Melon Mambo, Old Olive and Wild Wasabi.
I also added Foam Dots to the 'ring' on the back of my wreath.
Iridescent Sequins.

Fabulous cards! Both of them. I can see who the first one is going to, as that adorable little pumpkin girl has got to be Penny! Then just when I was getting ready to get rid of some old stamps, you com along with this beauty and Now I have to keep them. Thanks for the encouragement and the videos on the splatters. I have ruined many a project with my spatters. Glad that you got some sunshine, we are so darn cold here already. Only 13 more days and we are off.
ReplyDeleteLove both of your cards Donna, but the little trick-or-treaters stole my heart. It must be Penny and her invisible friend Casper. The watercolored flowers are amazing!
