Believe.....

Good Morning!

Happy April!  I guess the saying is correct, April Showers.....only here it's more like a monsoon.  At least we'll have something to look forward to in May then, right???

Today's card will be entered into the Challenges at; Simon Says Monday, Things With Wings, Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes and Simon Says Work It Wednesday, Spring Has Sprung.

I used the stamp and die sets from Stampin' Up!, Avant Garden, Dragonfly Dreams and Detailed Dragonfly.  The Believe stamp is by Gina K Designs, Botanical Dreams.  I cut the large dragonfly twice, once out the White card front panel and then again out of  Wild Orchid, both by Gina K Designs.  I placed the die cut back into the negative space and added Vellum wings and Adhesive Rhinestones for accents.

Inks in Black Raven, Rich Razzleberry, Temptting Turquoise and Wild Wasabi.  I kept stamping off on the Sentiment, thought it might be lighter, which is what I was going for, a fade.

I love these flying dragonflies, it's a wonderful die.  The inside sentiment is also by Gina K Designs, By The Sea 2.

This was mailed earlier in the week, I hope the recipient enjoys it as much as I did making it.

Thanks for flitting by.

Enjoy~~

Wonderful Friend

Good Morning!

Today's card will be entered into the Challenges at; Simon Says Monday, Things With Wings and Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes!

I used the Stampin' Up! products; Avant Garden, Dragonfly Dreams and Detailed Dragonfly.  I just bought the Bundled Dragonfly sets, stamps and dies and loooooooooooooove them.  The Avant Garden set was free with a promotion that ends tonight.  (I added a bottle of glitter to my order to bump it up over the required $50 minimum).

Inks in; Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo, Pink Pirouette and Wild Wasabi.  MFT Cross Stitched Rectangles and rectangle die from the PTI Shakers & Sprinkles Kit.

Polka Dot Designer Papers and Washi Tape.  The floral panel is backed with Fun Foam to give it a nice sturdy feel.  Bee die cut, layered in Black and Yellow card stock and the wings are topped with Vellum.  Doily and Adhesive Pearls, which I colored with a Copic Marker, for accents.

Just a wicked fun card to make!

Thanks for buzzing by!

Under The Sea Birthday

Hello again!

This card will be entered into the Challenge at Simon Says Monday, Based On A Book and Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes

My card is based on the book , Mr. Limpet by Theodore Pratt....remember the movie starring Don Knots, The Incredible Mr. Limpet?

This card uses the Stampin' Up! set, By The Tide.  I made a water color background using inks in; Bermuda Bay, Island Indigo, Spiced Marmalade,Tempting Turquoise and Wild Wasabi.  My images were also water colored and then fussy cut out.  I spritzed the card front all over with some Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Gold.

Sentiment from Gina K Designs, Pleasant Plurals, stamped in Black Licorice ink.  A simple card but I really love it!

Thanks for swimming by!

Bingo! It's Love!

Good Morning!

Yes another Valentine card using the Stampin' Up Sealed With Love stamp set and Love Notes dies.  I adore these products!

My card will be entered into the Challenges at Simon Says Wednesday, The Color Of Love and Scrapy Land, Anything Goes!

I started with a DCWV Bingo Card, this is a nice thick chipboard piece.  They come in a package of 20 and they are all different colors with different word toppers.  I thought this would work perfectly for a Valentine for my Mom, she is a Bingo Babe!  I also created a panel using a Die Namics MFT Cross Stitched Rectangle die.  There's that sweet little envelope with liner and letter die.  This time I stamped the teeny little row of hearts at the top!  Melon Mambo ink.

I wanted to jazz this up a bit so I added a bunch of beautiful accents.  Metal Heart Clip, Sheer Ribbon, Heart Button and Twine, a Rhinestone and Pearl Heart (which I actually found when I cleaned and purged my craft room) and one lone Adhesive Rhinestone to top my cute little envie.

I am sure Mom will loooooooooooooove this creation.....plus it will accompany some Chatham Candy Manor Chocolate Covered Cherries (another of her favorites).....what's not to love???

Thanks for stopping in.

Enjoy~~

Love ~ Note

Good Afternoon!

I'm having a lot of FUN with these products from Stampin' Up!  Sealed With Love stamp set and Love Notes dies.  I fell in love with the pretty little envelope die!

This card will be entered into the Challenges at Scrapy Land, Anything Goes and Simon Says Wednesday, The Color Of Love.

I decorated a Die-Namics Stitched Traditional Tags with a few stamped rows of pretty hearts and that awesome envelope die which has a die cut liner and a little note inside.  Sooooo cute!   Melon Mambo ink.

Border heart die is 3D, hearts flip up.  Thin Turquoise Ribbon to divide the Designer Paper and border die.  Eyelet, Sheer Ribbon, Twine and Button Heart for accents.  Adhesive Pearls.

I am really enjoying all of these stamps and dies.

Thanks for coming by!

Happy Birthday Masculine

Hello!

Taking another crack at a masculine card.  I must admit, I kind of love this one!

This will be entered into the Challenge at Simon Says Wednesday, Father's Day / For A Guy.

Swiping Distress Inks in; Broken China, Peeled Paint and Spiced Marmalade, I laid down my colorful background.  Then using a water color brush I dropped water all over the inks.  LOVE the way it looks after doing this!  A perfect below sea look, I think!  The stamp set is By The Tide by Stampin' Up!.  Using White Glitter Embossing Powder and Versa Mark ink I stamped my 'coral', which was then heated.

My fish were stamped and fussy cut out, colored with Copic Markers and then I added some Yellow Stickles on their scales.  The lower one is popped up for dimension.  The sentiment is from Gina K Designs, Lots Of Lines.  White Enamel Dots for accents, which also mimic the bubbles.

Who knew masculine cards could be FUN to make?!?!

Thanks for swimming by!

Enjoy~~

Fishy Birthday

Good afternoon.

Made a little masculine birthday card.  Nothing fancy.  I am making a nice set of easy to mail cards for one of my favorite Uncles.  He has sent me some crafting dollars because I always send him cards.....silly man!  I tell him NO MORE.....yet he insists.  So, I will make a bunch of cards for his own personal use.  That will teach him!

This will be entered into the Challenge at Simon Says Monday, Spritz And Spray.

I used the Stampin Up! set, By The Tide.  Images stamped in Wild Honey Distress Ink.  Card stock in the Brown family.  Sentiment stamped in Timber Brown Ink.

Using a Mini Mister I made my own Spritz with Craft Paint and Pearl Ex and a bit of water.  I used it sparingly.

Nice and flat...and fishy!

Thanks for popping in!

Enjoy~~

Many Thanks

Good Afternoon!

Yesterday I got some wonderful Happy Mail and just had to make a thank you card to show how much I appreciated being thought of!

This will be entered into the Challenge at Simon Says Monday, Gentlemen.  Impeccable timing!  ;)

I created my wood plank background by scoring lines every 1/2".  Then I swiped ink pads directly on the card stock, several colors, brown, light blue, grey, white and gold until I liked what I saw.  Of course I used MFT's Stitched Traditional Tags (thank goodness they don't wear out!).  The stamp set is By The Tide, from Stampin' Up!  Sentiment is from Gina K Designs, Pleasant Plurals

I sponged distress inks over the tag and then using an eraser from a pencil I made little dots in Tangerine Tango ink, stamping off once.....then I stamped over that with Frosted White ink, and then I splattered some water all over that and dried with my heat tool.  Images colored with Copic Markers and fussy cut out.  I 'painted' with distress inks (which was kind f fun to do) I also added a bit of Stickles to the fish.  A bit of ribbon and twine and a fishing thingamajig added for accents.  And one lone mini enamel brad.

A FUN card to make for a wonderful Gentleman.....my only fear is he looks at this and says THAT fish does not exist LOL (he really might think that--but that's okay!)

Thanks so much for coming by, I enjoy it when you do!

Ahoy!

I have a simple card to share with you today.  It is for the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, Nautical and again for the Penny Black October Challenge, Anything Goes

This is kind of a "less is more" kind of card.  No coloring, no beautiful DP--although you might be surprised at what I did use--and it looks AWESOME!  :)

The lobster is part of the By The Tide set from Stampin' Up!  And it is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto.......wait for it......paint chips!  I found these great looking paint chips in Home Depot, in several different colors, here I used a pale blue, a pale green, and a darker blue......oh and they were FREE!  The focal image and paint chips are layered onto a light blue, white, and navy blue card stock and then onto a Kraft card stock base.  A little jute twine and some white adhesive pearls finish it all off.

I really like the simplicity of this card, VERY nautical......VERY Cape-y to me.

Hope you enjoyed checking it out as well.

Have a fantastic day!  Goooooooooooooo SOX!!!  (that was for Judy!)  :P

Beach Card Series

Thought I would share some of the Beach Cards I have been working on recently.  I was trying to get into a local Craft Fair last weekend, then I realized I had NO beach like cards (which I am sure would be a huge hit here) so in about 8 hours I made 25 beach themed cards.  And I am very happy with how they came out.  Unfortunately all of my hard work went unnoticed, as the 'fair organizer' never was able to give me a definitive answer.  Oh well, I am thinking of giving sets to some of my most favorite people!  :)  That should work!

Here they are:

By The Sea 2
GKD

These next 2 cards use sentiments from GKD all other stamps are from Stampin' Up!

I have been trying to learn how to shade and color better and more frequently.  Theresa Momber has an AWEsome Blog with wonderfully informative tutorials.  She really takes the time to show you 'easy' step by step instructions.  You can check it out for yourself here:  Crafting The Web

Thanks for stopping by.  And thanks so very much for taking the time to leave me comments, they are fun to read and I appreciate them and you!  Make sure you come back for the next Beach installment!  :)

A Little Card Making Class

Good Day!

The other night I was lucky enough to attend a little card making class right here in Chatham.  Jen Pitta hosts one the last Tuesday of every month.  Jen is a wonderfully talented gal who sells Stampin' Up! Products.  How lucky for me to know her.

She comes to class very prepared with all the goodies you need to make 10 beautiful hand crafted cards!  Each month offers a variety of cards, this one was All Occasions.  What I love about the SU line, are the colors.  So unique and beautiful.  They have some awesome stamp sets too and every embellishment you could ever think of, and a few you never thought of, but know you just can't live without!  :)

So if you're in the neighborhood and are feeling  creative, stop in and join Jen, you'll wonder why you haven't before!

If you would like to look at the SU product line, check out Jen's site HERE

Here are the cards I completed in a very short time, it was AWEsome!

All sets are on the SU Retired list, so if you see something you like, better get that order in QUICK!

The weather has been so lovely here, I am going to get my garden on!

Thanks for stopping by and have a HAPPY day!
