This card will be entered into the Challenge at Altenew.
I saw this technique from Jen McGuire, Distress Ink Lifting, and thought I would give it a try. OMG....LOVE it!!! Do yourself a favor and at least watch her video!
I used Altenew's Painted Poppy stamp and die sets. Not too crazy abut that popped up leaf, so I will probably remove it. Using Versa Mark ink and White Embossing Powder I stamped the poppies and heated them. Then taking Distress ink in Broken China I covered the entire panel, smooshing ink into every white part of the card stock. Then with a water brush I just began 'painting' the water onto the flowers, what an amazing look! I also used Distress ink in Peeled Paint for the stems and leaves.
This panel was then placed on a piece of Black card stock and then a piece of Gold card stock. I made the Gold panel by running some toner paper through my Mini Minc. I then actually cut out a window within the rectangle leaving just a border of Gold, this way I have a nice piece of Gold Foiled card stock to make chip board accents out of using dies and punches. Wicked Smahhht! Sentiment is stamped in Tuxedo Black ink. Large Gold Sequins for accents.
I can't wait to try this technique again, I bet every time, you achieve a whole different look!
Thanks for poppy-ing by!
Enjoy~~
