All That Glitter Is Gold!

Good Afternoon!  The sun is shining the temps are rising and the snow is melting.  Yippee!

Today's card will be entered into the Challenges at Power Poppy, Go For The Gold and Simon Says Monday, B Is For.....

I used the Hydrangeas stamp set by Flourishes.  I decided to gold emboss this image on Vellum, I am still always amazed how well Vellum takes the heat for this technique.  I also made a gold embossed border for the background layered piece, an easy trick!  Trio Butterfly Punch by EK Success, top layer is also Vellum topped with 3 small Adhesive Pearls that were colored with a Copic Marker.  Corner Tabs, Shear Ribbon and Black Enamel Brads for accents.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Miss You

Good Morning!  Just put down my shovel long enough to write a Post!

I made this card for the Mod Squad Blog, Make Your Own Background.

I had a ton of fun creating this card.  I scoured the web for inspiration and found this tutorial complete with video by Shari Carroll over at The Hero Arts Blog.  Sooooo pretty!

Using water color paper I stamped the wordy stamp from Botanicals, by Gina K Designs, using Versa Mark and white embossing powder.  Using the acrylic block I dabbed distress inks in Antique Linen, Wild Honey and Peeled Paint and spritzed with Glimmer Mist in Stone, then stamped the block directly on to the water color paper.  Inking up the leaves from the Signs Of Spring set, in Peeled Paint, Spiced Marmalade and Broken China I stamped that in several places.  I also stamped the flower stamps a few times from Botanicals on the left side.  Hand cut a tag, stamped with leaves, and the sentiment, tied on with some thin Jute twine and topped with a small green enamel brad.  3 small yellow enamel brads on lower right.  The leaves were cut using a Sizzix die and then I 'painted' on a bit of Perfect Pearls in gold to add a sparkle.

This. Was. Super. Fun.

Follow along the video and you'll find it easy AND fun too!

Appreciate you coming by, hope you are getting your craft on!

Pink And Floral

Good Day!

Today's card will be entered into the Challenges at MFT, Sketch and Simon Says Wednesday, Special Lady/Girlie.

I was going to make an all white card, something I have never done before, but as I began, I knew it wasn't working out right.  So, I added pink, pink glitter paper.  The stamp and die sets are from MFT, Sweet Roses, Blueprints #12, and Open Simply Scallop border, also Spellbinders Lacy Circle die.  I used the Swiss Dots Embossing Folder and used the debossed side for the white panel.  I stamped the roses and leaves on to Vellum using Versa Mark and white embossing powder, then layered the die cuts over pink and green card stock..  A little bit of a rose printed ribbon for accent.  I felt I had to add that scallop border to the bottom as there was just too much white.

A pretty little card, could be used as a birthday, a happy hello or maybe even a Mother's Day card.

So glad you popped on by!

Enjoy~~

Luck O' The Irish

Back again with a simple little card to make you feel like putting on the green!

This card will be entered into the Challenges at Simon Says MondayJust A Hint Of Clover and Curtain Call, Lucky

I used the Spellbinders Hearts dies and cut 4 each of 3 different sizes.  Scored each heart down the middle and then layered each one on top of the other in the shape of a 4 leaf clover, what could be luckier than that?  Designer Paper is textured, purchased that way.  A little Washi Tape added to the inside of the card.  The stem was cut using a Sizzix Flourish die in green glitter paper.  The sentiment is stamped in Garden Green ink and is from Gina K Designs, Lots Of Lines.  The clover is topped with an adhesive rhinestone.

And just a reminder I will be making Corned Beef & Cabbage again this year using this recipe:

It is scrumptious and has turned me into a Corned Beef & Cabbage lover.....used to HATE it.

ENJOY~~

Doodling

Hello Again!

My card for today will be entered into the Challenge at PTI, Doodling With Stamps.  If there's one thing I have learned from this Challenge, it's.....I can not doodle.  Who knew it would be so difficult?  Ashley made it look so easy on her VIDEO.

As I felt my doodling was not up to par, I left it in the background of my card.  I think I should have used water colors, they look so much more artsy!  The stamp set is, Pretty Petals.  I used inks in, Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo, Wild Wasabi and the sentiment was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black.  The card stock is Turquoise Sea.   I just randomly stamped the flower images and added small and large leaves.  I love these images, they're HAPPY!  Rounded the card corners and the white layer has been popped up using 3D dots.  This card is all about the stamped images, no accents added.  I'll have to stick this in my Mom's card box as it shouldn't use any extra postage.

Thanks for bopping by!

Wine A Bit

Good Morning!

My card for today will be entered into the Challenge over at Art Impressions, Tie It Up

These Girlfriends are just so fun and fabulous!  This set is called Wine Tasters.  Love it!  Images colored with Copic Markers.  Spellbinders Labels 8, Classic and Scalloped Circle dies used as well as an MFT Notched Border die.  The Designer Paper is by S-E-I, Poppy.  The sentiment was stamped in Bravo Burgundy (looked like Merlot to me) and is popped up on 3D dots.  A thin burgundy ribbon and laugh charm were added as accents as well as a few teal sequins.  Sakura Glitter pens added for a touch of sparkle.

I love these girls, I know these girls, I am one of these girls.  lol

Thanks for popping by!

Today's card will be entered into the Challenges at MFT Color Challenge, MFT Sketch Challenge and Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes

A fun little banner card to make.  I used several MFT products, Blueprints #12 and Open Bracket Border dies and the Art Expression stamp set.  Also a PTI die, Happy Phrase Frame, which has been cut from the frame, thank you Kathy.  Different designer papers and Vellum used for the banners.  Sizzix Embossing Folder for some added texture and one lone enamel brad.
