Nautical Thanks

 Good Morning!

This card will be entered into the following Challenges:

Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes!

This is for our favorite restaurant owner, Gabe.
He runs the Hot Stove Saloon in Harwich Port and we have been
going there for 20 years, since he opened.
Back in 2017 when he found out we were going to be Grandparents he gave
us a sweet little HSS T-shirt for the baby, Penny.
Last week we had her for a few days and took her there, she finally
got to meet Gabe and when he saw her he said 'come with me'
Penny is now the owner of a very stylish HSS Sweatshirt!
Gabe is just too, too kind!

Oh, and if you ever go, order the Zucchini Fries!
<chef's kiss>

Love that aged and weathered look!

I find it helpful to start with a shade of blue or teal card stock
when creating a patina.
This looks blue here but there is much more green in it.

Lovely Lavender Birthday

Back again on the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog

This is my final post as a Design Team Member.  I would like to thank Darlene for being such a wonderful leader and for her friendship!  Thank you to all of my Team Mates for such wonderful inspiration over the past year.

On to my card!

I adore this sweet little watering can, don't you?  I knew I had to own it as soon as I saw it and I knew that I would give it a rustic vibe by adding lots of 'Patina' to it.  So easy!  I die cut it from White card stock and from a piece of chipboard I had lying around.  I layered the 2 together and then began the aging process.  Using Embossing Powders and craft paints I was able to achieve this look.  The Frugal Crafter has an awesome video with easy to follow along instructions.  You can view the video HERE.

I also added 'Patina' to my White Adhesive Pearls.  I just love how these turned out!  Sentiment stamped in Wisteria Wonder ink, stamp set by Papertrey Ink, Vintage Linens.  My White card stock has been backed with Fun Foam to add a bit of dimension and to make the panel nice and sturdy.

You can see the thickness of the watering can from this angle.  Layering die cuts has always been a favorite and easy technique of mine.  It adds so much then using a solo piece, which tends to look so flat.

This card will be entered into the following Challenges:

Scrapy Land, Anything Goes #98
Crop Stop, Party #43

Thanks for popping in!

Enjoy~~
