Wedding Card With Accordian Fold

Good Morning! 

I made this card the other day for the Challenge at Stamp TV , Fancy Your Fold, hosted by Leslie Turner.

 

I've been experimenting with Wedding cards.  Thought I would give a Fancy Fold one a try.  This card uses the Gina K Designs stamp sets, Celebration Diva, Mr. & Mrs. Diva and True Love.

I found this wonderful textured background paper in my stash as well as the glittered white card stock.  Adhesive Rhinestones and Silver Ribbon added for accents.

 

I created this Accordian Fold Tag by watching this great VIDEO from Catherine Pooler.  Super easy!

 

 

Lots of space to decorate or even to write on.  I chose to stamp several sentiments, add some pink hearts and black elegant flourishes, all cut from glittered card stock.  It adds pizzazz!

 

 

 

I left the inside blank to write my heartfelt emotional note.  ;)  I have a few Wedding cards to choose from, they'll probably get them all!

Wedding Smash Journal Cover

The next project I made is for my daughter, Lori.  In case you haven't heard our squeals of JOY from here, she and her beloved Tim,  got engaged on July 19th!  Whahoo!  I thought that she might need a notebook of some type to keep by her nightstand.  You know how you always wake up in the middle of the night with that great crafting idea?  Yup, you probably need one too.  I just updated a cover from a Sketch Pad.  It has 100 sheets of blank 60# paper.  She can write in it, stick post it notes, draw, glue and paste, etc.  all of those wonderful ideas she comes up with.   And of course I had to add just a little bit of bling.....after all it is a Wedding Smash Book!  Who knew there would be a need?  lol

 

 

 

I've had this stash of s-e-I designer paper, chocolat for some time now, had to whip it out for this creation.  I first glued it down to a piece of very thin chipboard, then applied that to the original cover of the book.  I cut out the flowers on the left and glued them down, to add a bit of depth.  Random bits of bling, a pleated strip of ribbon, and a strand of pearls.  I cut several hearts out of that same thin chipboard, and layered them up and added glitter.

 

Yes, this also has one of my most favorite sentiments a Gina K Designs stamp from the Mr. & Mrs. Diva set.....happily ever after.....who doesn't enjoy that?  The date was created with the Simple Numbers set.

 

I love to craft.....I love to create......but when you can do that for that special someone it sends me over the moon!  I am one lucky MaMa......and I know it!

 



Next time I see this Wedding Smash Book I hope to find it overflowing with wonderful ideas.

My next card is one I made for a wedding my daughter will be attending.  I was 'gifted' a stacked set of wooden drawers filled with lots of lace, and flowers, ribbon, and many sparkly things.  It also had these 'floral picks', pearls on wires, easily bent into different shapes.  Maneuvered one into a heart to add a loving embellishment.   A little scrunched up pink tulle and ribbon, toss in some pearls and ta da!

My final wedding card is for my Nephew's Wedding in July.  I have tried something new.  I have been playing with this idea for awhile and bought those really small canvases they sell at most craft stores.  I think these measure 3"x3", have six in a package and probably were less than $5.  I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink, heat set it,  and colored with Copics.  I found the more I colored the more the black ink dissolved and disappeared.  I had to retouch the Groom's face.....please tell me he doesn't look like he is scowling?  Right?  lol  I then mounted that as the focal portion of my card, adding the 'hanging ribbon' giving the effect of a piece of artwork hanging on a wall.  Well, at least that is what I was going for.  :)   I hope the Bride & Groom like this, I kind of love the whole idea. 

 

Her dress is all silver glitter and her 'rock' is an adhesive rhinestone.  I added the 'picture perfect' sentiment so they would think artwork.....subtle......very subtle.

And after all of these weddings I have a feeling it will be year of the babies.  I actually have a baby shower to go to on Sunday.  The Mommy-To-Be is having a boy, what JOY!
