Through The Trees

Good Afternoon!

A quick little post with a teeny little card, it only measures 3.5" x 3.5".

This will be entered into the Challenges at Papertrey Ink, Splattering, Simon Says Monday, Gentlemen, (make a card for a guy), and Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes!

I used Papertrey Ink's stamp set, Through The Trees, complete with little bird stamps, of course I always make mine Red Cardinals.  The trees were stamped with Versa Mark and then heat embossed with White Embossing Powder, I do love the look of Birch Trees in winter!  Image was then layered on to red card stock die cut out using Spellbinders Captivating Squares.  Then that was layered on another piece of white card stock that would be adhered to the black card stock base.  But first I took my trusty old toothbrush and some white craft paint and made tiny splatters all over the black card stock, starry sky or snowy squall?

To keep the glitter ON the birds and not in the envelope, I stamped in Versa Mark ink and then added Heat and Stick Powder by Stampin' Up, heated that and doused with red glitter, then reheated to seal it all in.  So far so good.  I just hope they don't arrive at my Father In Law's house naked.  lol  I would have a lot of explaining to do.

I may make this in to a Gift Tag by punching a little hole and adding ribbon.....easy peasy!

Thanks so much for popping in!
