Friends Are Like Flowers

Good Morning!

Today I am so happy to be Guest Designing over at the CropStop Blog.
This site is fairly new to me but it has the most wonderful Challenges and an amazing CropStop Store where you can find all of your paper crafting needs.
Dies, Embossing Folders, Storage, Punches and Paper, just to name a few.
Go on over and check them out, you'll be glad you did!

I am sharing a little interactive card with you today.  I was inspired by Dawn's Stamping Thoughts, her Hubby designed this particular sketch.

Top Folding A-2 Card.
Black card base, 4 1/4 x 11 inches, scored at 5 1/2 inches.
White layering weight card stock, 4 1/8 inches x 5 1/4 inches
Polka Dot Designer Paper, 3 7/8 inches x 5 1/8 inches.

Using the Memory Box Sideshow Tickets I die cut once from Black card stock and Floral Designer Paper.  Adhered with Scotch ATG Adhesive.

I added  Fun Foam to the back of my panel using Scor Tape.  This creates a nice 'channel' for my smaller Memory Box Sideshow Tickets which is cut in White card stock, layered with a Red Memory Box Row Of Poppies cropped die cut.  Ribbon added for the pull tab.

Sentiment panel Folk Filigree and Happy Spring stamp sets, by Gina K Designs.
Raven Black ink.
Spellbinders Standard Classic, Heart, and Scallop Circles die cuts.
Red and White Gingham Ribbon.
Black Ribbon Tab.
Foam Dots.

A hidden surprise inside.

A little bit of dimension.

Classic Black and White with a POP of Red.

All Occasion Card.

This card will be entered into the following Challenges:

Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes!
Scrapy Land, Anything Goes!

Thanks for popping by!

Enjoy~~

Cheers!

Good afternoon!

Today's card will be entered into the Challenges at; Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes, Crop Stop Party #38 and Scrapy Land #88.

I fell in love with Lisa Hetrick's Water Color Ghosting Technique (say that 10 times fast!), her card was magnificent.  Here is her Video.

And I found a new Designer, Rachel Tessman, she is a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and has a great Blog and Videos on YouTube.  Here's the Video on this Flip Fold Style Card.

I combined the 2 Techniques.

I used the Gina K Designs stamp sets; Birthday Blessings, Folk Filigree and French Flair.  Stamped in Raven Black ink and colored with Copic Markers.
WOS all over wine glass.  Circle Link Embossing Folder.

My background was sponged and stamped in Faded Jeans and Cracked Pistachio Oxide inks, and then spritzed with Heidi Swapp Color Shine in White.  I also stamped the images in Bermuda Bay and Tempting Turquoise inks.  My images looked like they 'blurred' too much so then I over stamped the large grape clusters in Raven Black ink, I kind of like how they came out.  I also die cut 2 rectangles using the MFT Cross Stitched Rectangles set.  Sentiment was die cut using the Spellbinders Classic and Scallop Ovals sets.

Inside image stamped in Raven Black ink.

This is a fun style of card.

Thanks for popping by!

Enjoy~~

Birthday Blessings

Good Afternoon!

Today's card will be entered into the Challenges at; Stamp TV, What's Black And White And Gold (just a touch of gold), Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes and Stamping Sensations, Anything With Flowers.

I used several stamp sets by Gina K Designs, Botanicals, Birthday Blessings and Folk Filigree all stamped in Raven Black ink.  My dies are by MFT; Cross Stitched Rectangles and Blueprints # 12.  I have also used a few butterflies from the Memory Box die set, Butterfly Exhibit.  3 small ones layered together and a larger one on the inside.

Designer Paper from my stash.  Gold Foiled Textured Paper.  Button and Twine.  Mini Adhesive Pearl.  My sentiment was stamped on a Vellum Strip in Raven Black ink, coated in Clear Embossing Powder and heated.  You know me and my smudging abilities lol

The black panel has been backed with Fun Foam to make the base nice and sturdy and to give it some oomph!  The flag banner cuts are only adhered at the top letting them curl up a bit at the bottom, which adds a bit more dimension.

Happy 4th Of July to you all.  Time to get the BBQ going!

Enjoy~~

Double D, Flowers Galore!

Good Morning!

A brand new Challenge is up and running over at the Double D Challenge Blog.

Check out this Inspirational Tile to get your creative juices flowing!  Gorgeous, right???

Here's what I came up with!  I know, I have A LOT going on here!  But I love it!

I created my wood grain background first, picking up on the natural look of that wood crate in the Inspirational Photo.....which I then carried on to my lovely wood barrel.  Natural and Rustic, a combo that can't be beat!  I used several beautiful stamp sets from Gina K Designs to create this card (which, by the way, was extremely FUN); Beyond Baskets, Birthday Blessings, Fill It With Flowers (boy did I ever!) and Folk Filigree.  Inks in Always Artichoke, Calypso Coral, Melon Mambo, Pear Pizzazz, Old Olive, and Wisteria Wonder.  I just kept stamping flowers wherever I wanted.  Fantastic!

I framed this all in using the Papertrey Ink, Shakers & Sprinkles dies set.  I also added a few 3D flowers and vines using the Poppy Stamps die set, Large Madison Window, this comes with a flower box die and everything you need to fill it with.  Each flower has a seed bead center.   My sentiment is stamped in Brutus Monroe Raven Black ink and then heat embossed with Clear Powder onto a Vellum strip.  Copic Markers.  Adhesive Pearls.

Only if gardening were this easy!  I find the two equally rewarding though!

Please come on over to the Double D Blog and join in all of the FUN!

You'll be glad you did as there is always a fabulous prize up for grabs!

Hope you have a pretty day!

Enjoy~~

More Sunshine

Hello!

A super quick card to share with you today.  This will be entered into the Challenge at Simon Says Monday, Splash It On.

I used the Gina K Designs stamp sets, Fill It With Flowers and Folk Filigree.  Images stamped in Raven Black, Antique Linen and Fired Brick inks.  I also splashed on some water color in Peeled Paint and Salty Ocean inks.

Simon Says Sunshine die layered in Turquoise Sea and Black Onyx card stock.

This card is a different look for me, but I quite like how it came out.

Thanks for stopping by!

Enjoy~~

Lace Butterfly

Good Afternoon!

This card will be entered into the Challenges at Cheery Lynn, Lots Of Layers and at Stamp TV, Release Party Challenge, Take 3 (to use 3 colors of ink).

Using Gina K Designs stamp sets, Folk Filigree and Pretty Patterns 2 I created my background paper, inks in; Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral and Wild Wasabi.  Card base layers in green, white and coral, topped with Vellum.  MFT dies; Bracket Edge Duo and Stitched Traditional TagsSwiss Dots Embossing Folder and Adhesive Rhinestones for accents.

This gorgeous Cheery Lynn die, Small Lace Butterfly with Angel Wing is fabulous!  It is anything but small, it measures 2 3/8 x 3 3/4 inches....HUGE!  The little Angel Wing lets you cut a backing for the lacy butterfly.  It is 'half' a die, so you fold your card stock in half, cutting the die once, unfold card stock and you have a fully formed butterfly die cut.  Clever.

Thanks for fluttering by.

Enjoy~~

I Think YOU'RE Beautiful

Good Morning!  I can't believe I made a card before work, egads!  Now, of course, I do not want to go to work.....such is life.

The card I just whipped up is for the Challenge over at Kelly Latevola's Blog and her Challenge which celebrates her One Year Anniversary for this series, CASEing Genius Challenge.

I decided to CASE one of Brandi Hall's creations....she had so many wonderful and creative cards to choose from and I finally decided on this particular one:

It is titled Beautiful for obvious reasons.

Here is my CASE:

I used a Gina K Designs stamp set, Folk Filigree and an MFT stamp set, Simply Fabulous Sayings.  They compliment each other so nicely.

I stamped my images in Pumpkin Pie and Tempting Turquoise inks.  Added the 3 turquoise buttons threaded with a bit of jute twine.

I quite love how this came out, I may have to go back and CASE a few more from Brandi's Blog.

Now in 'paying' this forward I am to nominate and bring light to another crafty gal.....do you know how many crafty gals I know?!?!  Egads!  I put my top 6 talented names in a hat and drew one.....sorry that's the only way I could sleep tonight!  lol

My crafty nomination is:  Kathy Krug!  She is wildly talented (as all my friends are) and has such a way with floral die cuts and layering, she is FABULOUS.  Please go check out some of her lovely creations......and then pick your jaw off the floor!  ;)

Thanks so much for coming by.

Enjoy~~
