Double D, May Flowers

Good Morning!

A brand new Challenge is up and running over at the Double D Challenge Blog.

Ready for the Inspiration Tile?

Here you go:

Here is my card:

I had soooo much FUN making this card!

Here's what I did:

I made a hand cut template of a flower pot, cut a second one, now I have it for future use.

Swiped Black and Brown ink directly to the flower pot.  I also cut the top lip off and added some chipboard underneath to give it more dimension.

Swiped it all over with Versa Mark ink and then added Embossing Powders
in; Rust, Gold and Green.  Heated them.

Using Craft Paints in; White, Brown, Teal and Green I began to 'patina' my pot.

LOVE the way it came out!

Using an embossing folder I created my brick wall.
Sponged on inks in; Fired Brick, Antique Linen and Vintage Photo.

Next up my flowers!  I used the Elizabeth Craft Dies, Garden Notes Zinnia.  I cut 4 flowers in yellow and 3 in pink adding one extra layer to each flower.  Sponged the edges, added large beads for the centers and sprinkled in a bit of corresponding glitter.  I added stems to a couple of them and a bunch of different sized leaves in different shades of green.

An MFT Stitched Traditional Tag die cut for my sentiment, sponged edges.  Gina K Designs, Spring Has Sprung stamp set.  A small hot pink butterfly from the Memory Box die set, Butterfly ExhibitRaven Black ink.  Rhinestone.

May Flowers!

Quite a bit of dimension.

Added a few more of the little butterflies to the inside of the card too.

SO. MUCH. FUN.

This card will also be entered into the Challenge at;
Scrapy Land, Anything Goes!

Please come on over to the Double D Blog and join in all of the FUN!

You'll be glad you did as there is always a pretty prize up for grabs!

Thanks so much for coming by!

Enjoy~~
