You're Fabulous

(but my card.....not so much!)

I am working with the MFT Sketch this week and am finding it VERY difficult.  I see CAS and you know how I can NOT do Clean And Simple.

Here is my first try:

I used the MFT stamp and die sets, Sweet Roses the sentiment is from Simply Fabulous Sayings.  They were die cut, embossed and colored with Copic Markers.  For some odd reason (?)  the black embossing ran.  I have never had that happen before, have you?  So I die cut the shapes from Vellum and tried to mask my mess.

Added sequins and the card was done.....DUN....done!  lol  I will give it another try, but I can only see CAS and I know it won't turn out any better than this fiasco.  The one upside is my Mom, she loves everything and anything I make.  lol

Hope your creating is going a lot smoother!

Enjoy~~

  1. Pretty flowers! I love that sentiment. I've had the black embossing powder run before when it wasn't quite dry yet. Doesn't happen often.

  2. Listen to your mom, she knows best. Those are pretty flowers and you masked your 'mess' well. Oh dear, now I see there's another potential problem I could have with embossing....think I'll continue to avoid it ;)

  3. Ok, I have to say that I found this to be a challenge too. I didn't want to do stars, so I did flowers like you. Don't know why the black embossing ran, but the vellum cover up worked well. I like the soft look of these flowers. It is a CAS card, you have to deal with it. Of course, Mom loves all that you do your her, you are the best daughter.

    1. I am too literal and tried to use all MFT....YOURS came out beautifully, Barb! http://inmycreativeroom.blogspot.com/2015/11/triple-play-mft-plus-seize-birthday.html

  4. Funny that the embossing ran. I think the alcohol dissolved the embossing powder. I have had that happen before when I was not careful with the markers. Epic save with the vellum though. LOVE how you colored the flowers.

  5. You are too hard on yourself,my friend. I think this was a hard, hard sketch to work with, but you did an amazing job. I love CAS cards when other people do them. As I said when I try I fell like I have sent my kids to school naked,

  6. I was wonderful how you got that finish on your flowers, I think it's really cool looking with the vellum over them. Great take on the sketch, so glad you played along at MFT!
