Today's card will be entered into the Challenges at Hero Arts, Holiday Card Making and Simon Says Wednesday, Wrap It Up! (gift boxes, wrapping paper, tags, or anything you choose to make something and wrap a ribbon or twine around it).
I chose to make a Shaker Card.....love them and they are super easy! I ALWAYS use this technique from Papertrey Ink, I have found it is the easiest way for me, check out this VIDEO.
I used 2 Hero Arts stamps, K5445 Branch & Flourish Tree and F2568 Merry Christmas Ornaments (which I masked and just used the sentiment portion). Using Gold Embossing Powder I stamped and heated my tree image, this is a beautiful detailed flourish tree, very elegant, especially in gold. Created the Shaker by mixing gold glitter, gold glitter slivers, white snowy glitter and green sequins.
Embossed the sentiment on to Vellum and added a gold ribbon to tie it all together. I really have fun making Shaker Cards and probably will make more. Recipients love to get interactive cards, so it's a win/win situation.
Thanks so much for dropping by.
Enjoy~~
I am IN LOVE with shaker cards too, and I think I fell in love after I saw this technique with the fun foam. Before that it was a pain to make sure everything was sealed up. This works every time. Your card is amazing, love how you have the tree as a background with the confetti inside. And your patterned paper is so cool, especially with the vellum banner. Always LOVE vellum. Super cool card my dear!! XO
