Peace Poinsettias and Ribbon Wrap

 Good Morning!

These cards will be entered into the Challenge at

I found this Ribbon Wrap Technique on YouTube HERE.

So easy and I love the way it looks!

Minimal supplies too!

Ribbon Wrap Technique.
Papertrey Ink Peace die.
Impression Obsessions Poinsettia Small die set.
Sizzix Stitched Foliage dies.
Darice Stars Embossing Folder.
(not sure why I went with stars???)
PFS Jewels, 12 Pack.

Love the traditional Christmas colors.

Inside.
Plenty of room to write a personal message.

That wee bit of dimension that I love.

Second card, same as the first.
Although, I did reverse the Designer Papers in the Ribbon Wrap.

Something I did learn, when trying to darken a red,
use brown, it enhances the shading so nicely.

Why not make 2 when you have all of the supplies out?

Thanks again for coming by!

Enjoy~~

Poinsettia Tag

Hello!  Back again on the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog

It's the end of November time to get serious about finishing up some Christmas cards!

Here's what I have for you today!

I used the beautiful Memory Box Plush Poinsettia Corner die.  I cut once in White and then in Hot Pink layering the pink petals back in to the white base die.  Check out all of that texture on the pretty petals.  I decided to make a faux window by layering 2 Tutti Designs Nesting Stitched Tags together, leaving just a border.  On the back of the cut I added a piece of Vellum and White card stock--which I also added texture to using a Swiss Dots Embossing Folder.

Cut a smaller Stitched Tag for my sentiment and stamped image.

I love these colors in Turquoise, Pink and White.  Non Traditional Christmas colors for sure, but I like their bright cheery effect!

I only adhered the very top of the sentiment tag so you could curl the end of it, this lends just a bit more dimension to the card.
Sheer Ribbon and Adhesive Pearls, which I colored with
Copic Markers to coordinate with my card stock.

Power Poppy stamps; Simple Joys and Glistening Paperwhites.

This card will also be entered into the Challenges at;  Scrapy Land, Anything Goes and Power Poppy, Portion Control

Golden Poinsettia

Good Afternoon!

This card will be entered into the Challenges at Mod Squad, Christmas Floral, Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes! and Simon Says Work It Wednesday, Holiday Card.

I used the Gina K Designs stamp sets A Year Of Flowers 2 and Seasonal Labels.  I stamped 3 Poinsettias on Vellum using Gold Embossing Powder, which were fussy cut out.  I then layered them and added a Pop Dot to add dimension.

The flower was then added to layered die cuts using Spellbinders Majestic Labels 25.  A bit of gold tone ribbon and one single gold rhinestone added for accents.  Sentiment embossed in gold and stamped on to an MFT Stitched Traditional Tag die cut.  Lots of gold and sparkle on this simple little card.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Merry Merry!

December Holly & Narcissus

Good Morning!

On The Great Impressions Blog today!

Using the Great Impressions stamp, G408 December Holly And Narcissus I stamped the image using Gold Embossing Powder and Versa Mark Ink on to a Spellbinders Lacy Squares die cut.  Image colored with Copic Markers and Sakura Glaze and Glitter Pens.

I cut a window and frame using the same Lacy Squares dies and added a sheet of Vellum, which sounds great in theory, but once the card is open and on display you can not see the beauty of the stamp (photo below).....live and learn.  ;)  I also added a couple of Fancy Flourishes and a Poinsettia Cameo Cut.  In the center I glued little golden beads.

Oooh mystery card!  lol

Our Monthly Challenge, Bling On The Holidays, is open, why not use some of your own beautiful Great Impressions Stamps and play along?  Don't forget to upload your GI creations to our Customer Gallery.

My card will also be entered into the Challenges at Stamping Sensations, Festive Florals and Penny Black, Anything Christmas!

Thanks for coming by, you MUST have learned something from this post lol

Enjoy~~

Peace ~ Love ~ Joy

The other day I just started making Poinsettias.  Had no idea what I was going to do with them, but I knew a card was in the making.

This card is for the Simon Says Stamp, Monday Challenge, Patchwork.  I created a very simple patchwork background and then added my home made accents.

The poinsettia was created by combing 8 "leaves" cut out with my Cameo.  I layered them together and then using a 2 Way Zig Glue pen, traced an outline of the petals and added some fine glitter and rhinestone adhesive in the center.   The Christmas Tree is just a simple triangle, cut from chipboard covered with a pretty Christmas DP and several green adhesive rhinestones.  The pretty Wreath was made by using Spellbinders Classic and Scalloped Circle dies, super easy, also cut out from chipboard and covered with another Christmas DP, added several red adhesive rhinestones and a small twine bow to complete the wreath.

The stamp is from the Merry Little Christmas set, available at Gina K Designs.  It happens to be a favorite of mine!  Added a couple of green eyelets and done!  :)

I made a pile of the Poinsettias, so I am sure you will be seeing more and more of them!

Fa La La La La.........

Thanks for popping in!  Enjoy your day!
