Very prettily created card, I was tempted by those umbrella's too, but in the end went with the 'aliens' LOL!!When my Nellie dog was alive, I used to sing her 'you are my sunshine' (as she was) so love your sentiment, too!!
ReplyDeleteThis is a super fun and very creative card. The sentiment on the outside is perfect with the one in the inside. Love the sun peeking out from the clouds too. Now I will be singing that song all morning. Not a bad thing.
ReplyDeleteYour cheerful card would make even the Grinch happy! I love this childhood song!!
ReplyDeleteI just love how you have finished off the inside to go with your cute outside, like the paper piecing of the umbrella and how the sun is trying to peek out from the clouds, so sweet!
ReplyDeleteI love your card and I hope you are staying safe from the hurricane.
ReplyDeleteHow pretty, Donna! The stitching does look like it's been quilted, and the darling umbrella and bejeweled rain drops bring on the moist love that Mother Nature enjoys sharing. It's a lovely creation! hugs, de
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful card inside & out Donna! Love that you pulled this idea from the mood board! That's the direction I went in first but it wasn't working out so switched gears! Your card turned out far better than what I first had! Well done my friend!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty, fun, cheerful card my friend. The inside brings back very happy memories. I used to sing that to my grandbabies when I rocked them (picture me with a smile and a tear drop)
ReplyDeletei love your plaid umbrella and the sentiment. Great take on the mood board.
ReplyDeleteIt's so fun and pretty to look at! Now I can hear the song :) I've had a very hard time trying to comment on blogs but using different browsers is helping! :*

ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous card, I love the sentiment and your design around it...just perfect! xx
ReplyDeleteThe sweetest card, evah! The featured umbrella theme and the sentiment are perfect together with the sun peeking out from behind the clouds. I love that you put the beginning of the song inside the card as the message.
