With Heartfelt Sympathy

Hello!

This card will be entered into the Challenges at; Papertrey Ink, Sponged Stamping, Simon Says Monday, Make Your Own Background and Simon Says Wednesday, A Bit O' Green.

I used the Papertrey Ink's stamp set, Through The Trees.  I stamped the tree trunk first and then lined up the beautiful leaves.  Inked the stamp up with Pear Pizzazz and then sponged on Wild Wasabi and Garden Green inks.  The technique works well and gives a subtle color change to my leaves.  The base of the card was stamped willy nilly with the leaf stamp using Antique Linen ink, gives it a nice subtle look.

I then took some masking tape and rubbed it on to the Antique Linen ink pad, smoothed it over the base of the tree and then pulled it off.  It gives a nice smattering of ink as the ground below.  This was then mounted on a panel of Brown card stock that had been cut using the MFT Bracket Edge Duo die.  I also added 3 thin strips of tan Washi Tape.

Here you can see the different shades of the green leaves.

Thanks for coming by, love it when you do!

Enjoy~~

    1. Super easy and always leaves a nice little bit of ink behind. Just take masking tape or painter's tape, lay it over your ink pad, sticky side down, rub til you think it's covered in ink, remove and place on your card stock, rubbing again to transfer the tape. Try it on scrap paper first to see if you like the look....it's kind of fun too!
