One Layer Collage

Good Afternoon!

The sun is shining, the winds are howling, man is it cold out, still feels like winter.  I know the calendar predicts Spring will arrive tomorrow, but I fear it may not.  *sigh*  Oh well, one day at a time!

I made this card for the Challenges at Stamp TV, One Layer Collage, (hosted by my dear friend, Karen Hightower) and at Simon Says Monday, Lions And Lambs, to use a 'critter' on your project.

I think Karen said she used 13 different stamp sets on her card, egads....I have only used 9....only!  lol

At first I felt intimidated by this Challenge, but once I started stamping I felt more at ease.  Although I definitely stamped in a more organized fashion, a more structured collage, more orderly and balanced.  I don't know if this is what Karen intended us to do, but this is how I did it.  hahaha  Not so carefree after all.  Who knew?  The only accents are the itty bitty brads from Stampin' Up! in green and blue.
I used the following Gina K Designs stamp sets;  Botanicals, Elegant Elements, Labeled With Love, Lots Of Washi, Signs Of Spring, Springtime Silhouettes, Stamper's Favorites and Stipple Nature, Tropical Flowers.
Distress Inks in;  Antique Linen, Broken China, Peeled Paint, Spiced Marmalade, Weathered Wood and Wild Honey.
Next time I think I will stamp in a more willy nilly fashion.  :)
Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Oh, you have totally nailed it!! And isn't it fun? I was pleasantly surprised how much enjoyment I got from this technique. I love your beautiful colors and choice of stamps. Those butterflies, the ferns, and then all that light background stamping. I LOVE the look of this - just beautiful!!! And I agree, it's hard for me to be random too. Not in my make up.

  2. Your collage is just gorgeous and fabulous! you used 9 different stamp sets oh my you did good ! I guess I'm fired I only used one! lol
    Well done! Hugs

  3. NIne stamps are enough. I love the arrangement and the choice of the colors that you picked. It is funny how we want to control and have it look like it was just casually done. Still, it turned out so gorgeous.

  4. You did an awesome job with this challenge! I love the colors you chose and your stamp placement. This challenge has me totally intimidated, but I'm really loving this!

  5. Beautifully created and beautiful colors too. You really nailed this challenge.

  6. Love How you framed the sentiment with all the pretty stamps and colors. Fabulous job. You are making good use of he inclement weather.

  7. Gorgeous!! Love the colors, stamps and "organized fashion" collage.
