Mother's Day

Good Morning!

Today's card will be entered  into the Challenges at Cheery Lynn, Doily and ScrapyLand, Anything Goes!

I created a wreath by making a ring of card stock and then die cutting many Foliage 2 pieces from Paper Smooches, which I then placed on top of my doily.  Added some mini rosebuds and many Adhesive Pearls.

The Fanciful Flourish is by Cheery Lynn, sentiment is from the Think Pink stamp set by Flourishes.  Sheer Ribbon, Button and Jute Twine for accents.

I was going to use this for my sentiment, but found it too large for the wreath, so I placed it inside the card,  Lovely Shelf stamp set by Gina K Designs.

Thanks for coming by, hope you all are off to a wonderful start this week!

Enjoy~~

You Are So Awesome!

Good Morning!

This card will be entered into the Challenges at MFT Sketch and WOW! Embossing Powders, Anything Goes!

Again I used Jen McGuire's Distress Ink Lifting Technique, gosh I can not get enough of this!  My products are from MFT, Blueprints 12 and Stitched Traditional Tags dies and the Sweet Roses and Simply Fabulous Sayings stamp sets.  White Embossing Powder and Distress Inks in; Spiced Marmalade, Peeled Paint and Broken China.  Sentiment stamped in Perfect Plum ink.  Eyelet, Ribbon and Chunky Twine for accents.

I love the simplicity of this card and my FAB tag lol  It throws off a 70's vibe....a Brady Bunch feel, if you know what I mean.  :)

Thanks so much for popping in.....shake your groove thing, shake your groove thing....yeah yeah.....

Happy Birthday.....Clink!

Hello!

This card will be entered into the Challenges at Papertrey Ink, Ombre Stenciled Background, Simon Says Monday, Take A Leap Into The Unknown, and Simon Says Wednesday, Touchy Feely.

This was a fun technique!  I made a stencil using the Chevron Vertical Cover Plate by PTI, using inks in So Saffron, Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry and Calypso Coral, worked like a charm!    The stamp and die sets are Uncorked and Swoosh, also by PTI.  I made my small Ombre Panel on one side and then cut card stock using the Cover Plate, the design continues from one side to the other quite fluidly.  A bit of ribbon to dissect the two, sequins for celebration accents and Stickles filling the wine glasses.....CLINK!

Lots of texture from the sequins, chevrons and dried Stickles.  And what a better clean slate than a fresh new year starting, with a birthday celebration, to all that comes!

Thanks for popping in, I appreciate you doing so!

Enjoy~~

Mini Blind Card

Hello!

This card will be entered into the Challenges at; Stamp TV, Spring Fever, Simon Says Monday, Take A Leap Into The UnknownSimon Says Wednesday, Touchy Feely, and Scor Pal, In Like A Lion, Out Like A Lamb (Spring Theme).

I decided to try and make a Mini Blind card, complete with working blind and decorative valance.  I will say it was quite a hit with the older population. lol  Designer Papers by Nicole, Floral.  The 'mini blind' measures 2 3/8 x 3 inches and is scored at every 3/8 inch.  I checked out Youtube and found this VIDEO, Diane is quite helpful.

I added some beads to my ribbon, but you could simply tie it off.  The window is die cut using Spellbinders Large Labels and then the frame was made by nesting 2 dies together.  MFT Notched Border created the valance.

Gina K Designs stamp sets; Home Tweet Home and Spring Has Sprung.  Images colored with Copic Markers.  Lots of Stickles on the water in the birdbath.  I chose that image so when Sally looks out her window of her new home (which is magnificent and cleans like a dream!) she can feel Spring creeping in on her and all the possibilities that lie ahead.....new adventures, a fresh start!

Spring to me has always meant, rebirth....new beginnings, a clean slate, nothing feels better than that.

To your fresh start and new beginnings!

Enjoy~~

Happy Birthday Window

Good Morning!  Happy Weekend!

Today's card will be entered into the Challenges at Stamp TV, Spring Fever and Simon Says Wednesday, Touchy Feely.

Using Spellbinders Classic Ovals I cut out my window section from my base card stock and my Designer Paper and Bordering layers.  Do it all at once and save yourself the hassle of having the window askew.  It will take a couple of passes through your die cutting machine (I used a Big Shot) but it is so worth the effort.  I also made a window frame by layering a Classic and Scallop Oval together, which I then ran through a Swiss Dots Embossing Folder to give it some texture.

The stamped image is from Dogwood And Butterfly and the sentiment is from Basket Additions 2, both by Gina K Designs.  Colored with Copic Markers.

This is a nice flat card but still holds some interest.  I am making a bunch of flat, easy to mail cards to send as a thank you to one of my dear Uncles in Arizona.  He is on my card making 'to do' list.  Valentines, Birthdays, Easter, Christmas, Thanksgiving, etc.  I send him and a favorite Auntie a bunch of cards throughout the year, and he keeps sending me crafting money lol  I tell him to STOP but so far he has not.  He appreciates the kindness.  He doesn't realize the JOY I get from making cards and then once mailed the JOY I feel when people say they got them, so it is truly pure selfishness on my part that keeps me making and mailing them.  So I will be making flat, no layers, cards, or at least trying to, you know the struggle is real in my house!  lol  And not only are they finished inside, which I have been doing forever now, I am also making him sweet little matching envelopes.  Yay me!

Thanks for popping in!  Hope you have an awesome weekend!

Enjoy~~

Rejoice!

Back Again!

This card will be entered into the Challenges at; Simon Says Wednesday, Touchy Feely and ScrapyLand, Anything Goes!

This nest stamp is by Inkadinkado, well that's just fun to say! The sentiment is from Stately Flowers 8 by Gina K Designs.  Images colored with Copic Markers.  I fussy cut out the butterfly and larger flower, bottom left and popped them up on 3 Dimensionals to add some depth.

Background card stock is textured with dots and is by American Crafts, which is then layered over by a die cut card stock by Recollections, Michael's Brand.  Die cut is a Sizzix Labels And Stitched Frames.  Wink Of Stella Clear to add a bit of sparkle and shine to the eggs, flowers and butterfly.  Liquid Pearls in Flamingo for flower centers.

Thanks for coming by!

Easter Garden

Hello!

This card will be entered into the Challenges at; Stamp TV, Spring Fever, Double D, Feeling Green, and Curtain Call, Key Lime.

I loved all of the shades of greens from the Inspirational Photos.

I used the Gina K Designs stamp sets, A Year Of Flowers 2 and Basket Blessings.  Images colored with Copic Markers.  Flower centers hi-lighted with Sakura Glitter Pens.  I masked the flowers off to create the depth of the garden.

EK Success hand punch for the sentiment, stamped in Tuxedo Black Ink.  Layers of Designer Paper and card stock.  I love the simplicity of this card, letting the flowers speak for it!

Happy Spring!

Enjoy~~
