Happy Birthday Wishes

Today I am sharing a Birthday Celebration card.

It has everything but the kitchen sink!

I started with the Tutti Designs Nesting Stitched Banners die.  I cut 4 of them in 2 different sizes in 4 different Designer Papers.  I then laid down a piece of thick colored twine, diagonally, to see where I wanted to place my banner and to find out how much twine I would need.  I then cut 2 holes on each side with my Crop-O-Dile, this made it easy to attach my twine to my card base, I just tied 2 bows, 1 on either side.  Adhered my pretty banners using Scor Tape.  I know this will hold them securely in place.

I took some time to go through all of my dies, choosing ones that had small little images I could use to decorate my banners.

These all seemed to work really well:

Memory Box Butterfly Exhibit*
Memory Box Homespun Heart*
Button, Rhinestones and Pearls.

* Butterfly Exhibit is no longer available
but there are so many other choices for butterflies you can find HERE

* Homespun Hearts is no longer available
but there are so many other choices for hearts you can find HERE.

I also used the Impression Obsession Wishes to complete my sentiment.  This was cut from White card stock and then I colored it with a Copic Marker to match my Happy Birthday which was stamped in Bermuda Bay ink from the Lots Of Lines set by Gina K Designs.  Once dry I coated it all over with Clear Embossing Powder and then heated it.  It is much sturdier and has a nice sheen to it now.

My advice to you is to try and think of different ways to use your dies.

And don't forget about this:

Charming Gardeners

Back again on the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog.

Today I have a pretty 'sunflower' to share with you.
I changed up the colors to make it not look so much like a Fall flower.

Using the Cheery Lynn Sunflower Set I cut my petals 3 times in 3 different shades of blue, then sponged the petal edges using a blue ink.  Then I just layered them together topping with a center, that I die cut twice.  I think it is so bright and happy in these shades of blue!  I die cut my stem and leaves from 2 different shades of green card stock, assembled and placed it all together on a Memory Box Sideshow Tickets die cut, this is a retiring set.  I layered that with a piece of white card stock which I added a bit of texture to using a Darice Embossing Folder, Basket Weave.

I also added a Memory Box Orbitz Circle underneath my focal panel as an accent.
This is also a retiring set, so get em' while they're hot!

I stamped my sentiment in Island Indigo ink, sprinkled with Clear Embossing Powder
and heat set, all on a Vellum  strip.  Sentiment by Gina K Designs, Friends.

Enamel Dots.
Button & Twine.

So much dimension--you know I loooooove that!

This card will also be entered into the following Challenges;

Scrapy Land, Anything Goes!

Friends Are Like Flowers

Good Morning!

Today I am so happy to be Guest Designing over at the CropStop Blog.
This site is fairly new to me but it has the most wonderful Challenges and an amazing CropStop Store where you can find all of your paper crafting needs.
Dies, Embossing Folders, Storage, Punches and Paper, just to name a few.
Go on over and check them out, you'll be glad you did!

I am sharing a little interactive card with you today.  I was inspired by Dawn's Stamping Thoughts, her Hubby designed this particular sketch.

Top Folding A-2 Card.
Black card base, 4 1/4 x 11 inches, scored at 5 1/2 inches.
White layering weight card stock, 4 1/8 inches x 5 1/4 inches
Polka Dot Designer Paper, 3 7/8 inches x 5 1/8 inches.

Using the Memory Box Sideshow Tickets I die cut once from Black card stock and Floral Designer Paper.  Adhered with Scotch ATG Adhesive.

I added  Fun Foam to the back of my panel using Scor Tape.  This creates a nice 'channel' for my smaller Memory Box Sideshow Tickets which is cut in White card stock, layered with a Red Memory Box Row Of Poppies cropped die cut.  Ribbon added for the pull tab.

Sentiment panel Folk Filigree and Happy Spring stamp sets, by Gina K Designs.
Raven Black ink.
