The Master And The Butterfly

Good afternoon!

This card will be entered into the Challenge at Stamp TV, Where's The Color?

Cat has challenged us to only use Black and White and Kraft....NO color!!!

Well I finally ordered a spectacular Butterfly Die from Cheery Lynn....YAY!  Thought it would look awesome paired with the Gina K Designs sentiment from Master Butterfly.  This sentiment really got me to thinking, it's true....we can feel as if our world is coming to an end, due to some unforeseen change that may be occurring....BUT maybe it is just the beginning of something new, something better, something more spectacular?  For the caterpillar this was all true!

Designer Paper by Teresa Collins, Hello, My Name Is.  Sentiment was heat embossed in black on Vellum.  Enamel Brads, Adhesive Pearls and some Washi Tape for accents.  Sizzix Embossing Folder for some texture.

Here's a little secret I am going to share with you, well you probably all know it anyways.  When wanting to layer a die, such as this beautiful butterfly, yet you only have it in one size......die cute 2 pieces in different colored card stock.  In this case, I took the black one and sliced it right smack down the middle and then glued the white one on top of it, making sure that there was an itty bitty teeny weeny space in the center so the black edges would appear underneath.  Although it does not make for a perfect layer, it does work well for most dies.  Give it a try, you'll see.

Thanks so much for fluttering by!

Enjoy~~

Butterfly Swing

Back Again!

This card will be entered into the Challenge at Simon Says Monday, Pastels.

This is a fun little 'swing' card.  I used the Master And Butterfly and Spring Parade stamp sets from Gina K Designs.  I stamped the butterfly twice, once on each circle die cut, then sandwiched a little piece of fishing line between them.   Spellbinders Classic Circle die and Lattice Embossing Folder used.

I colored the image with Copic Markers and then using Versa Mark Ink, Heat & Stick Powder and Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, covered both images.  This sparkles and shines like crazy!  Adhesive Pearls also colored with Copic Markers---love doing that to match everything!  Pumpkin Pie ink.

Cute little card for one of my cute little friends.

Thank you so much for coming by.....I love it when you do!

Enjoy~~
