Good Morning!
A brand new Challenge is up and running over at the Double D Challenge Blog.
Here is your Inspiration Tile:
Music.
Our Son In Law, Tim used to
DJ parties and gatherings, so I thought
this would be a cute card for his birthday.
Here is what I created:
I made my 'record albums' by using Spellbinders Standard Circle dies
and some glossy ridged black Card Stock I have had for ages.
Gina K Designs sentiment and Music Stave from Just A Note stamp set.
It's a box card that you open up.
I also created the other elements of the record player
by die cutting and cropping different dies from different sets.
The 'arm and needle' are from Lawn Fawn, Slide On Over and Magic Iris dies.
On/Off Button from PFS Shaker Tag Book die.
Amy Design Music Stave die.
Lawn Fawn Reveal Wheel Circle Sentiments stamp set.
Tuxedo Black ink.
Black Embossing Powder.
Silver Foil Paper.
Brad.
Foam Strips and Sheets.
Corner Rounder.
Inside 'sleeve' which holds the Happy Birthday Record.
Very FUN to make!
You'll be glad you did as there is always a pretty prize up for grabs!
Here's the prize for this Challenge:
Thanks for waltzing by!
Enjoy~~
What a super cool card Donna! It's like a real turn table with lots of fun details. The glossy black cs makes the records look authentic. Very creative use of all of you different die cuts too. Your SIL will love this music box card!
ReplyDeleteThis is just a great reason to have lots of dies and stamps and fancy paper for ages. You put a fabulous card together for Tim's birthday. I hope he reads this post to see how you did this. You are such an amazing crafter and I am sure that he knows that. I just can't get over the results on this card. Winner!!!
ReplyDeleteWhaaaat??? This is crazy awesome!!! I've never seen dies for a 3D record player before. Leave it to LF to come up with one. Yours is the cutest card in the lineup.
ReplyDeleteThe LF dies were for other purposes, but I used them to help create the record player parts.
