This card will be entered into the following Challenges:
Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes.
I think this was one of my most favorite Thanksgiving cards to create.
Rustic. Easy.
I started by creating my wood grained background, scoring every 1/2".
Then swiping inks, direct to paper I achieved the colors that I wanted.
Inks in; greys, blues, light brown and white.
It reminds me of well worn Cape Cod shingles.
Wreath is made using die cuts from Paper Smooches Foliage 2
and the large leaf from a Momenta die set.
I also swiped Versa Mark ink onto some of the edges of foliage
and dipped them in Gold Embossing Powder. Heat set.
Beautiful wreath design!
ReplyDeleteI love, love, LOVE this. It's stunning, you have achieved so much dimension and the colors are FABULOUS!!! I think this is possibly one of my all time favorites!
ReplyDeleteI am most impressed with the colors on the background and the leaves of your wreath. They are outstanding. Those leaves that are dipped in gold really make a stunning card.
ReplyDeleteThis is stunning Donna! You seriously make the best wood backgrounds for your projects. The leaves are perfectly colored for fall. The gold specks add warmth and richness to this beautiful card. Hope you had a wonderful thanksgiving, friend.
ReplyDeleteOh wow it is gorgeous, I love your background it does work great for the cape cod feel. Your wreath design is lovely, the gold tips are a great touch as is your sentiment as well with it's two tone look.
