Double D, Stitches

Good Morning!

A brand new Challenge is up and running over at the Double D Challenge Blog

Here is your Inspiration Tile:

Stitches

Here is what I created:

I have always loved stitching on cards, yet I always forget to bring out my little Janome Mini Sewing Machine.....until this Challenge.
Designer Papers by Echo Park, Be Mine
I stitched all around the border with a wide stitch.
Spellbinders Hearts die.
MFT Fancy Flourish and Stitched Ric Rac dies.
So I have Real and Faux stitches on this creation.

I let the Designer Paper do all of the work for my sentiment.
Sheer Ribbon.
Baker's Twine.
Heart Button.
Rhinestones.

I was able to use this as my Hubby's Valentine!

Please come on over to the Double D Blog and join in all of the FUN!

You'll be glad you did as there is always a pretty prize up for grabs!

Here's the prize for this Challenge:

Thanks for stopping by!

Enjoy~~

  2. Wow Donna, I'm impressed by your real stitching!! Your card is gorgeous and how wonderful to know that it's all in the print, except for the hearts. Dare I ask what line of paper this is because that's the last thing I need, is to buy more paper... Love your beautiful card!!

  3. Just beautiful my friend! LOVE the real stitching! I actually bought one of those small sewing machines strictly for sewing on cards but struggled with it right off the bat so gave it away as blog candy! LOL You've done a bang-up job on this card! And that soft ribbon really is the 'icing on the cake' ... beautifully done!

  6. Yes I thought those were real stitches around your card, I just had to take a closer look. This is so sweet and something you should do more often. I love the heart in the middle in the swirls

  8. Stunning card, Donna! The zig zag border looks awesome. I love how you mimicked the swirls on the PP with the die cut. And the layers....I am always for lots of layers. Overall fabulous!

  9. I love this! The stitching really makes a statement. I haven't used my sewing machine on cards for a while. It's buried so far back in the closet, it would take me a week to dig it out. lol
