Spring, Flowers And Bunnies

Good Morning!
It sounds, looks and feels like Spring!  Finally!  Let's hope it continues!

I have a few cards to share with you today.

These first 2 will be entered into the following Challenges;

Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes!
Allsorts, Yellow.

I was hanging out on Pinterest and saw this beautiful card by Athena and knew I wanted to CASE it!
I used Distress Inks in; Fossilized Amber and Spiced Marmalade.
Sentiment stamp and Daffodil are by Gina K Designs;  Basket Blessings.
Catherine Pooler Stamp Of Approval Beautiful World; Enchanted Garden stamp and dies.
Dies R Us; Butterfly #2 set.

Designer Paper by Nicole; Think Shimmer.
Amalgam Black ink.
Copic Markers.
Water Drops.
Heidi Swapp Color Shine; White.
Mini Adhesive Pearls.

Fun Foam to back the left side panel for dimension.

So fun to make, I made 2!

All of the cards on Athena's Post are beautiful!

This next card was inspired by Jen McGuire and her Pop Up Shadow Box cards,
really cute and FUN!

This will be entered into the Scor Pal Challenge, Soft And Subtle.
And the Scrapy Land, Anything Goes!

Using 2 pieces of card stock measuring 6 1/4 x 5 1/2, score each one at 1/2" and 1".
Flip, and score again at the other end at 1/2" and 1".
This is what will create that zig zag fold when you assemble together.
This also creates the shadow box and 'popping' movement.

Gina K Designs; Happy Spring and Spring Fling.  No dies, just fussy cut all images.
Paper Smooches; Foliage 2 dies.
Poppystamps; Dogwood Blossom Corner die.
Spellbinder; Classic Ovals die.

Here you can see how it looks like a Shadow Box.

Amalgam Black ink.
Copic Markers.
WOS and Stickles.
Pink Gingham Ribbon.
Adhesive Pearls.

This last card will be entered into the Simon Says Work It Wednesday Challenge; Spring Flowers.

I used the Altenew stamp and die set; Peony Sprig.
I picked up such a clever tid bit from Jen McGuire check out the 24:51 minute mark, you'll be glad you did!  I did this with the Peony die here, the original die cut nestles in nicely.  Cool, right?!?!
My background is stamped in Calypso Coral ink and I used the Hero Arts Holiday Plaid stamp, this is great for making such pretty backgrounds!
I'll never hunt for another oh just perfect color plaid paper...ever!!!

Copic Markers.
WOS.
Vellum.
Clear Embossing Powder.
Amalgam Black and Calypso Coral inks.

Thanks so much for stopping by on this lovely Spring morning!

Enjoy~~

  2. Here you are back again giving me so much inspiration and motivation. The first card has a lot of SPRING going on and why not? Just bright and full of color. I have tried Jennifer's shadow box technique and I think it is the best and easiest way to make one. Your flower card with the shadow frame is amazing. Thanks for pointing out the simple way to do it, not just a heart shape, but anything that you cut with a die.

  3. You certainly know how to bring out The Happy, Miss Donna! Beautiful Spring projects (I especially like your shaker box) and wonderful bright colors! How is your garden doing this year, Donna? Are the bulbs popping up? My caladiums started coming up 7 weeks early this year! Wishing you a great week - hugs, de

  4. Oh wow, once again you have been so prolific. Love all your bright colors, and that shadow box card is so reminiscent of one of those cute sugar eggs that have a scene inside. Man, I don't know HOW you do it with all you have to do. And pretty soon all the "Summer Folk" will be back. EEK!!!! This year you will be able to take Penny for walks on the beach. I know you have dreamed of that for a long time.

  9. Love the bright colors and patterns on your first two cards, just says spring and good to hear you are seeing signs of it now :) I do love the shadow box cards Jen made and yours is too cute also, love how you used the corner die on that one too. I remember her telling how to make a outline for your dies and it looks great with your pretty flower, so good to have tried so many different techniques! All turned out wonderful!
