Anniversary Flowers

Good Morning.....another hot one.....

I am still making anniversary cards......this will go out to my Aunt and Uncle celebrating 64 years!  WOW!

I am entering this in the following Challenges; Wow! Embossing Powder, Flowers, Scrapy Land, Anything Goes!, Stamping Sensations, Anything Goes!and Penny Black, Anything Goes, With A Stamp.

I created Heat Embossed Flowers on Vellum, in Gold, using the Papertrey Ink stamp and die sets, Vintage Linens.  To create my background I used the Hexagon Cover Plate, also by PTI and cropped it down. Adding Swiss Dots Embossing Folder to the other half of the background.

The MFT Dizzy Border die was cut from black card stock and adhered diagonally to cover my seam.  I also threaded some gold ribbon through to add a bit more interest.

Die cutting an MFT Fancy Flourish from white card stock, I then covered it in Versa Mark Ink and added my Gold Embossing Powder, heated it and let cool.  This came out AHmazing......even if I do say so myself!

My delicate Velum Flowers were all mounted on to A Spellbinders Majestic Labels 25 die cut, backed with 3 Dimensionals.   Adhesive Pearls for accents.

It seems like forever since I posted.....work days are still looooong AND hot!  This too shall pass!

Thanks for stopping by!

Enjoy~~

  5. oooooh! Elegant and oh-so-BEAUTIFUL! Donna, I am in love with this amazing creation, and the layered, embossed, vellum flowers are gorgeous! DEFINITELY casing that clever design idea - very classy, and who would not be thrilled to receive it!?

Sorry your days are still miserably hot - seems to be a rough summer everywhere, doesn't it? I am grateful you can take those walks on the beach, and feel the wind on your face - when afternoon thunderstorms blow in, I always face them. The temps often drop 10-15 degrees in a matter of minutes, and it feels as though nature is kissing me! LOL The more violent the storms, the more passionate the kisses! Just like your card, there is a special beauty in it all, no matter what it is!

Thanks for the inspiration this morning! hope your week is a bit cooler. hugs, de

  6. Black and gold are the most spectacular colors for an anniversary card. The design is elegant, and there, that says it all. Glad that you had a day off to get back to making cards and posting. I know it is a s good for you as it is for me. Love seeing what you do.
