Double D, Warm And Cozy

Good Morning!

A brand new Challenge is up and running over at the Double D Challenge Blog

Here is your Inspiration Tile:

Warm and Cozy

When I saw that pretty little tea cup I knew I would use
that for my inspiration.  I have a sweet little collection of Bone China Tea Cups
that were my Nana Amy's, my Mother's Mom.
She collected them from all over.  She had so many we were able to split some up for each of the oldest Great Granddaughters from each family, all 4 of them.
They are truly a treasure and each one is different from the other.
I have a set displayed in my dining room, so pretty and I smile when I see them and
think of my lovely Nana.  My Mom loved to see them too.
Trust me there is nothing better than a nice cuppa in a Bone China Tea Cup!

Here is what I created:

I have had this pack of paper in my stash for a very long time,
Tea Party by the Craft Smith.
I simply fussy cut 3 of these beautiful tea cups and layered them on card stock to
make them nice and sturdy and then backed with foam sheets for dimension.
Easy Peasy!
PFS Floral Circles dies, cropped.
Spellbinders Standard Circles die.
Gina K Designs Holiday Greetings stamp set.

Gold Embossing Powder
Copic Markers.
Distress Oxide inks in;
Peeled Paint, Picked Raspberry and Salty Ocean.
Gold Foil Paper.
Foam Sheets.

Inside.

Dimension!

Please come on over to the Double D Blog and join in all of the FUN!

You'll be glad you did as there is always a pretty prize up for grabs!

Here's the prize for this Challenge:

Thanks for coming by....next time I'll put the kettle on!

Enjoy~~

  2. Beautifully done Donna! I agree ... my grandmother had a huge tea cup collection and we all received one upon her death (she had 45 grandchildren). I treasure mine and like you, makes me smile when I see it sitting proudly in my china cabinet now (only VERY special pieces are housed in there). As for me I have a tea POT collection ... call me crazy! LOL Beautiful cozy inspiration ... too bad we don't live closer, I'd pop in for a cuppa tea with you!!

  4. What wonderful memories that you have of these cups, ones that no one else has. Making this card with the cups must have been pure joy for you. The gold touches are just right and I love that sentiment. I have some cups from my aunt displayed in the kitchen too.

  6. A beautiful memory and keepsake from your Nana that you have, so nice that you all could have some of her collection. These are beauties too, great idea to cut them out of the paper and use them this way, so pretty!

  7. What a gorgeous card!! Those teacups are so pretty and perfectly cut by your skilled hands. I thought they were die cuts. I have some of my mom's and grandma's old bone china tea cups. They are treasured heirlooms for sure!

  8. I love your tea cups so much. They are pretty and delicate, and that gold trim is perfect. Your little commentary made me smile, because my mom collected tea cups too. She had lot of them, and now I have some. I feel like no one collects them anymore, what a shame.
