Optional To Make An Anniversary/Wedding Card |
I just pulled all of the shades of blues, peaches, and oranges (well now I'm hungry!)
MFT Die-Namics Layered Umbrella, Cross Stitched Rectangles and Bracket Edge Duo dies. Simon Says Sunshine die. Poppy Stamps Dogwood Blossom Corner die, which has been snipped apart. Stamped sentiment from Papertrey Ink, Simple Sunflowers.
I colored the mini Adhesive Pearls with a Copic Marker. And added a bunch of 'randomly' placed Sequins. The Sunshine die has been layered on chip board.
This card (and the next one, as they are basically the same in reversed colors) sets a little uneasy with me. Am I really sending sunshine when it clearly looks like rain drops under my umbrella die cut?? Yet, I have some flowers and it says.....I am sending sunshine.....Oh I'll figure it out.....eventually!
Thanks for popping in out of the rain....I guess. lol
Enjoy~~

Even with the raindrops I see sunshine with this card. I love the colors, design and just everything about it. Reminds me of the umbrella my daughter gave me to use....it had a hole right in the middle of the top. ;)
ReplyDeleteWow- what a beautiful card! I saw it at the Scrapy Land blog and had to come and see the card and your blog! Thanks for entering our challenge and hope to see you again at Scrapy Land for our next challenge.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet card! I don't look at them like you're sending rain drops. You promised sunshine, and they'll get sunshine!
ReplyDeleteYou are too funny! This is a very bewitching card. Yes, there seem to be raindrops, but the whole things says sunny. Dew drops, that's what they are. Love the paper piecing and the background papers that are on a diagonal.
ReplyDeleteSuper cute card. So creative how you have turned the sequins into raindrops. And I didn't even think about the rain being inside the umbrella until you mentioned it. It just all goes together. Really sweet umbrella, love the paper underlay. Also love the gingham paper as a background and then those sweet flowers. Everything is just perfect!!
ReplyDeleteMy friend, methinks you pondereth too long on you creations. Both of your designs are fabulous. Isn't the song lyrics that say sending you sunshine on a cloudy day?
ReplyDeleteLove the paper piecing and your fabulous mix of papers. You are a genius at that. Thanks for linking up wit us at Double D Challenge Blog
Oh, Donna, I'm not sure which I like better, because I love them both in the different color combinations. Beautifully done and so clever with the dies. I just love this umbrella and think it's the cutest one I've ever seen! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteOh it's lovely! Love the polka dots and bling rain drops too. Fabulous!!
