Back again on the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog
Today I have decorated 2 Vellum Envelopes turning them into Treat Bags.
I created my shells first. I die cut the large Scallop shell using the Die Versions Whispers Scallop Shell and the smaller ones using the Cheery Lynn Sand Dollar Starfish.
I sponged Oxide Inks in various colors on to the white card stock designs. I then splattered water on to the ink to lift some of the color up, while the card stock was still wet I also sprinkled some White Embossing Powder here and there, heated to seal it in. You get a weathered, aged look, or possibly the look of barnacles. It makes for an interesting look.
I stamped the shell border in Raven Black ink and colored with Copic Markers,
stamp set by Gina K Designs, A Year Of Borders.
I then added some Heat And Stick Powder, heated that and doused it all over with a Dazzling Diamond Glitter, then reheated it all to seal it in. It sparkles!!!
Wrapped each bag with twine 3 times and threaded a few pearl beads on to it.
Layered my shells together and adhered them to the folded lip of the bag. Adding an Adhesive Pearl to the Sand Dollar for accent.
'Randomly' glued Orange and Yellow Sequins all over.
Check out those barnacles lol
