Big Hugs

Good Afternoon!

I have a card to share with you that will be entered into the Challenge at Cheery Lynn, Doilies.

I saw This Card on Pinterest and I was inspired......I may have to rename this, Everything But The Kitchen Sink.....there is A LOT going on here!  lol

I started stamping the leaves from a Stipple Nature set by Gina K Designs and then added a few random dots from her Pretty Patterns 2 set.  Inks in Always Artichoke, Not Quite Navy and Soft Sky.  I also added some sponging to the focal panel, die cut leaves and cropped flowers in Antique Linen and Wild Honey.

Paper Smooches Foliage 1 dies in chipboard and card stock.  Cherry Lynn Wheat Heads, Poppy Stamps Dogwood Corner Blossom, Simon Says Scripty Big Hugs, and Dies R Us Butterfly Set # 2.   Half a doily sponged with Antique Linen.  Ribbon fiber, Jute Twine and Adhesive Rhinestones.  Swiss Dots Embossing Folder.  I was going to add even more rhinestones to the layered flowers in the bottom right hand corner, but that just seemed to be too much to me hahaha.

Fun card to make....hope it is equally fun to receive!

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Enjoy~~

You're So Tweet!

Good Monday Morning!

On the Dies R Us Blog today!

You know I love a pretty tag.....and I just adore a pretty tag ON a card!

I used the Die-Namics, Stitched Traditional Tags, layered in Brown and Pale Blue card stock as my base.  Then I created my little garden scene complete with birdhouses, fence and feathered friends.  I die cut my Picket Fence by Amy Design in White card stock.....because every house, bird or otherwise, needs a little white picket fence!

Using the sweetest little Bird House set from Paper Smooches I die cut card stock in several different colors.  I  also added some texture to one using a Swiss Dots Embossing Folder.  Laying out each piece, I adhered them and topped with my fence.  Of course, it needed something more.  Enter the handy dandy Foliage 2 dies also by Paper Smooches.  I must say that these particular dies are VERY versatile!  I have used them in flower bouquets, as grasses, like here, I have even made a wreath using only them.....lots of them!  They really are one of my 'go to' dies....a MUST have in any craft room!

Another little Die-Namics Stitched Traditional Tag, sentiment by Gina K Designs, Home Tweet Home, stamped in Real Red ink, topped with 2 Adhesive Pearls.

Accents include, Eyelet, Button, Twine and a Natural Fiber Ribbon in Green.  The large tag is popped up using 3 Dimensionals.

This could be used for a New Home, Thank You or All Occasion card.  I think the recipient would enjoy this piece of Happy Mail!

Enjoy~~

I used this sweet little image from Enjoy The Sunshine by Gina K Designs.  Spellbinders Labels 8 dies.  Images colored with Copic Markers.  This card measures 4 1/4 inches squared.

I wanted to keep the 'bubble' theme going so I added texture with a Swiss Dots Embossing Folder and this fun orange card stock complete with bubbles.   Fishy Ribbon form my stash.  Wink Of Stella Clear and White Pens and a bit of Stickles on the scales.  Iridescent Sequins (more bubbles!)

A lone Pop Dot to pop up my jumping Goldfish.  They're kind of happy!

Papertrey Ink August 2016 Blog Hop

Good Afternoon!

Hopping along with Papertrey Ink again this month!

I will also enter my card in the Challenge at Simon Says Wednesday, It's Hip To Be Square.

My card measures 4 1/4 squared.  I used the Papertrey Ink products Garden Gate.  This Kit includes matching stamps, dies, stencils and paper....I did not use any of the paper.  I used 2 stencils the lattice one and the leafy one.  Inks in Antique Linen, Wild Honey, Pink Pirouette, More Mustard,  and Black Licorice.

I also made a matching tag using an MFT Traditional Stitched Tags.

I swiped Pink Pirouette ink directly onto my Seam Binding Ribbon, then rinsed it a bit in water, using my heat gun I dried it to crinkle it a bit.  I kind of love this stuff, you can die it, age it with tea or even color it with Copic Markers.  FUN!  Jute Twine and Adhesive Rhinestones for accents.

Thanks for hopping by!

Enjoy~~

Live In The Sunshine

Good Monday Morning!

Back on the Dies R Us Blog today!

I die cut the Picket Fence by Amy Design twice out of card stock and then layered them together.  Then I used different inks to create a distress, weather-worn look, just by swiping the pad directly on to the card stock.

Sponged in my sky and sand so I would know where to place my fence, foliage and sea life.

The sea life were die cut using the Sand Dollar And Starfish by Cheery Lynn.  I used a glitter paper for each, you can see the shimmer and shine in the light.  I also added some greenery, die cutting Foliage 2 by Paper Smooches in 2 different shades of green card stock.

Added some seagulls in flight and my sentiment, stamped in Black Licorice ink.  Both stamp sets by Gina K Designs, By The Sea and By The Sea 2.

I also added a bit of Stickles to mimic sand.

Can you feel the cool breeze, and smell the light scent of cocoa butter in the air?

This card will be entered into the Challenge at Scrapy Land, Use An Image.

Autumn Blessings & A Jar Of Buttons

Good Afternoon!

This card will be entered into the Challenges at; Double D, Neutrals, Cheery Lynn, Doily and Scrapy Land, Use An Image.

I was totally drawn to that jar of buttons and with the neutral colors I figured I could get away with making a Fall/Autumn/Thanksgiving card.  I started with the Papertrey Ink stamp set, Just The Jar--Quart and matching die, Jar And Lid.  Then I glued down a bazillion buttons, give or take a dozen, in neutral colors.  Wrapped with thick Jute twine and mounted it all on top of my halved doubled doilies, which I inked up with Antique Linen ink.  Flowers are by Elizabeth Craft Design, Garden Notes Zinnia.  And Cheery Lynn Wheat Heads, in 4 different colors.

MFT Stitched Traditional Tags for my sentiment which is from Gina K Designs, Fanciful Fall, the small fussy cut leaf is from the Autumn Beauty stamp set.  Ink in Always Artichoke.  Brown Gingham Ribbon and Candy Dots for accents.

I am so HAPPY to be making Fall cards.....even the temperatures have dropped significantly here.  YIPPEE!!!

Thanks for coming by, appreciate you doing so!

Enjoy~~

Blessed

Good Morning!

My card today will be entered into the following Challenges; Papertrey Ink, Create Along With Us, Scrapy Land, Use An Image and Simon Says Wednesday, Make For The Border.

I fell in love with Betsy's card, seen here:

Here's what I came up with:

I used the Papertrey Ink products, Lovely Layers and Daydreamer stamp and die sets and the Blessed from the Counting My Blessings die set. I framed/bordered in my card using the Paper Smooches Stitched die.  After using the curved Stitched die I simply cut off the lower portion.

Poppy Stamps Verona Flourish die cut twice.  K & Company Natural Twine and a Michael's Brand, Recollections Leaf Punch on inside panel.

Thanks for popping in.

Enjoy~~

Butterflies and Gardenias

Hello!

This card will be entered into the Challenges; Memory Box, Yellow and Simon Says Wednesday, Make For The Border.

I used the Memory Box Butterfly Exhibit die cut layered in yellow and black card stock.  These were adhered to a panel that was embossed with Swiss Dots and mounted on to a Spelbinders Fanciful Lattice die cut, which frames the butterflies and flowers.  And that was all mounted on a piece of Fun Foam to add some more dimension.

Cheery Lynn dies; Fanciful Flourish and Small Gardenias.  Paper Smooches, Foliage 2.  Adhesive Pearls for accents.  I also added a lot of Wink Of Stella Clear Pen to the flowers.  Inside has a Fiskars Butterfly Pinch.

Thanks for fluttering by.

Enjoy~~

50th Anniversary

Good Monday Morning!

I am on the Dies R Us Blog today!

I have many anniversaries these coming months for friends, family and clients.  This one is for a very special couple celebrating their 50th anniversary!!!  I thought a little white and kraft card stock accented with gold foiling would make for a striking combo.  On the inside I added 2 Heart String dies by Penny Black.  Using several Spellbinders dies; A-2 Fancy Ribbon Threader, Lacy Squares and Heart Circles I created my base.  The 50 is Heat Embossed in Gold.

The Wheat Heads by Cheery Lynn as well as the double punched hearts were cut from Toner Paper and then foiled in gold with my Mini Minc Machine.  The detail on the Wheat Heads is amazing!  The hearts are pristine, that 'mark' is just a reflection from the camera, it's hard to capture the shimmery gold in a photo.

A little gold ribbon and a few adhesive pearls for accent.  Each layer has a fun foam backing which gives the card more dimension.  It also makes it nice and sturdy for mailing purposes.

Stamp sets by Gina K Designs, Simple Numbers and Tropical Flowers.  Ink in Antique Linen.

We just celebrated our 28th anniversary.....50 would be something to see!

This card will also be entered into the Challenges at: Stamping Sensations, Anything Goes, Penny Black, Anything Goes, With A Stamp, and Cheery Lynn, Back To Nature.

Happy Birthday Blossoms And.....

.....Sequins Are Your Friends!  (more on that later)

This card will be entered into the following Challenges; Altenew, Pink Flamingo, WOW! Embossing PowderFlowers, and Cheery Lynn, Back To Nature.

I used the Altenew stamp and dies sets, Beautiful Day. I stamped and die cut one flower and 2 sets of leaves, stamping the other blossoms and leaves on to my background.  I only used one pink ink and one green ink, but you can still see the slight variations (I should have let each layer dry before re-stamping--live and learn).

The outline of the flowers and leaves I heat embossed in White.  The Happy Birthday die cuts are by Cheery Lynn, Happy and Birthday.  A handful of iridescent Sequins.....now speaking of sequins.....when I was masking off the background blossoms my post-it was soaked with green ink on the back side--unbeknownst to me.....blossom, top right, 2 green ink smudges.....grrr.....should have bought that sanding stone.....so I added a couple of extra sequins hoping to hide my mistake.....I figure if I give it this to anyone older than 80 I may just have a chance!  Oh and lucky me, all of my Mother's Gal Pals ARE older than 80.....it's a win/win!  lol

Thanks for coming by, I love it when you do.....c'mon, let's get another coffee refill!

Enjoy~~

Enjoy Life

Good Morning!  I am not going to say a word about the weather.....but just go feel your card stock....that says A LOT!

This card will be entered into the Challenges at; Power Poppy, CSI (copy, steal, inspire--but not really steal), Scrapy Land, Anything Goes! Stamping Sensations, Anything Goes!  and Penny Black, Anything Goes, With A Stamp.

I found this pretty card on the Power Poppy Must See Customer Creations, it is by Patti's Stamping Studio (her Blog has been removed from the interwebs).

Here's what I came up with:

I used the Power Poppy stamp set, Short Stacks ( I just ADORE this set!)  Images colored with Copic Markers.  I added texture to my background using a Paisley Embossing Folder by Sizzix.   Spellbinders Classic and Scallop Ovals dies.

A little free hand paper piercing using an oval die as a guide, half a doily backdrop.  Green Gingham Ribbon, double bow--impressive!  Button and Twine for accents.  I cropped the sentiment, removing sip by sip.

LOVED Patti's color and design.....if she's out there I hope she sees this!

Thanks for coming by the crime scene!

Enjoy~~

Cheers, Happy Birthday!

A quick little post for a quick little card.

I am entering this in the Challenge at Papertrey Ink, Sentiment Strip Grounding.

Just a sweet little note card, one that would easily accompany a bottle of some sorts.  :)  I used the PTI stamp and dies sets, Uncorked.  So many possibilities with these sets!  Love em'!  Sentiment heat embossed in White.  Bottle stamped and die cut as are the glasses.  Can you see that magical liquid?

Iridescent Sequins for effervescent.....perfect!

Thanks for popping in!

Enjoy~~

Anniversary Flowers

Good Morning.....another hot one.....

I am still making anniversary cards......this will go out to my Aunt and Uncle celebrating 64 years!  WOW!

I am entering this in the following Challenges; Wow! Embossing Powder, Flowers, Scrapy Land, Anything Goes!, Stamping Sensations, Anything Goes!and Penny Black, Anything Goes, With A Stamp.

I created Heat Embossed Flowers on Vellum, in Gold, using the Papertrey Ink stamp and die sets, Vintage Linens.  To create my background I used the Hexagon Cover Plate, also by PTI and cropped it down. Adding Swiss Dots Embossing Folder to the other half of the background.

The MFT Dizzy Border die was cut from black card stock and adhered diagonally to cover my seam.  I also threaded some gold ribbon through to add a bit more interest.

Die cutting an MFT Fancy Flourish from white card stock, I then covered it in Versa Mark Ink and added my Gold Embossing Powder, heated it and let cool.  This came out AHmazing......even if I do say so myself!

My delicate Velum Flowers were all mounted on to A Spellbinders Majestic Labels 25 die cut, backed with 3 Dimensionals.   Adhesive Pearls for accents.

It seems like forever since I posted.....work days are still looooong AND hot!  This too shall pass!

Thanks for stopping by!

Enjoy~~
